I set mine at 10. Yes this could be set as low as 6.5 pounds double action but that does not guarantee ignition.
The single action on my revolver is slightly over 3 lbs. and it breaks like glass.
I also have a Model 66 Combat Magnum with the identical set up. Both of these are K frame
I have an SDR 375 Magnum that is of J frame size which is my favorite.
