Former GOP. Rep who once voted against the Affordable Care act becomes paralyzed in accident and is asking for $2.5 million on GoFundMe

How is that any different from a man who is drunk and falls off the sidewalk and becomes paralyzed from his fall.
How’s being drunk and getting into an accident different then being sober and getting hurt playing a sport? Seriously?

I mean both are tragic but if you can’t see the difference, we’ll that explains a lot about you

I think a polo player and retired government representative should have been wealthy and educated enough to buy private insurance sufficient to cover such a tragic accident. Why else would one be Republican. Don't get sick. If you do get sick, die quickly. There's no "charity" in that plan. There's no "ask for help." Who are you trying to fool? Yourself it seems.
Seriously private insurance to cover a lifetime of care? You don’t get out much I see

It's a rare, expensive sport, Sport. So-called insurance in America really only serves those who could otherwise afford having none. Billionaires will have it no other way. So don't get uppity and think you can play polo when you can't even afford the horse, let alone associated risks.

It’s not rare, it’s been around for hundreds of years

I am not sure what the rest of your post is about

And how do you know this guy is a billionaire??

No, it is charity if people willingly give him money out of the goodness of their hearts. It is welfare if the government forcefully takes it from taxpayers and gives him money. Glad I could clear that up for you.
So, if he doesn't receive any charity is he going to be taken care of or is he just going to sit in his house and die? Pretty sure we know the answer to that one.

What's the difference, is the drunk man going to just lay on the sidewalk and die?

No matter how we resolve all of this we would have to be taxed at several times more than income to satisfy everyone in every way in our utopia. If many people actually take care of themselves, are they right to protest a lot of their wages/income going to someone else who has not done the same? This man is the exception and not the rule of reality. We have to much corruption. And it seems to be built in in everything we do for even supposedly good reasons.

Not sure your point, you think because he is a polo player that he shouldn't ask for help with the millions of dollars it's gonna take to live?
Polo is not a workingman`s game, but it would be helpful to know more about this person.

A real stand up guy according to the OP's link:
Grimm has long been an avid horseman, frequently posting to social media about his time spent at stables and playing polo.

Grimm represented Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn in the House of Representatives from 2010 to January 2015, when he resigned following a 2014 federal indictment related to fraudulent practices at an Upper East Side health food restaurant Grimm partially owned.

It's one of the oldest team sports in the history of the world. I am not sure what you mean by "workingman's game" - I mean sure, the blue color guy working the line in Detriot might be more concerned with the Lions, but maybe the guy on the line at Toyota in Tenn, who's into horses does.

What I've read a lot on here, is the typical prejudice we get from dembots
