If youre one of those folks who thinks President Obama is a disappointment, you havent been paying attention the last few years. And those of you who try to draw comparisons with the Bush Administration should put away the hallucinogens and have your memory checked. If you were in a coma for the eight Bush Years, I apologize and forgive you. But please join the real world. So far, this president has done most of what he said he would do if elected; imagine what he could have done by now if progressives had supported him and not given him a Congress that doesnt look at him as if hes the demon seed.
Not only is he NOT a disappointment, hes pretty much the opposite. And no, I dont just say that because he took out Osama bin Laden, helped Libya determine their own destiny for the first time in a while, and because he seems able to handle international incidents without starting a new war. The guy does nearly everything we elect a president to do, and he doesnt brag about it constantly.
Is he perfect? No, hes human. Does he deserve some criticism? I suppose, but I must admit I havent seen any complaints that were of based on anything having to do with the real world. One I cant forgive him for is pulling Janet Napolitano out of Arizona. But the thing is, on balance, hes mostly stellar. Besides, criticism about certain specific problems is one thing; taking on an overall Obama sucks meme not only has the potential to put Willard Romney into power, its also a lie. Just because you wanted a president who would give you a glitter-farting unicorn and didnt quite get that doesnt mean hes not doing well at the job we hired him for.

I started to read it... until it credited Obama with 'taking out' Bin Laden. He did not 'take out' Bin Laden, that was SEAL Team 6. He just signed off the order. I find it offensive that politicians take credit for actions undertaken by our military.... unless, of course, you have evidence that Obama actually went on the raid. He's a politician.... the most dangerous thing he does on any given day is disagree with Michelle. I don't count that as anywhere near as dangerous as what our military face daily.
For the record... I would say the same thing no matter who the President is.

A few comments:
1) This is not a list of accomplishments but a list of things President Obama has done. Things listed here include giving a speech, appointing lots of people to newly created government positions, calling on other countries to do this or that, ...
2) Obviously he has done quite a lot of things during the last 3.5 years. Nobody could seriously claim otherwise. The question is how one judges the things he's done; Personally I would say it's too early to judge on many things.
3) Most fundamentally, what this list points to (and it's a criticism that can be levelled at many other Presidents as well) is the fact that President Obama has done way too much, created way too many new agencies, government positions, bureaucratic regulations, and unnecessary legislation.

I have no way of knowing whether Avatar4321 read the article, but it is certainly possible to object to some of the achievements listed. For example, I'm not sure that we really needed more security along the US-Mexico border (how much would be enough?).

UE has steadily gone done. The Stock Market has reached new highs. Manufacturing is coming back to this country. The rate at which women in the work force are paid at..is protected by law. US companies are seeing historic profit.
The problem with you guys..is that you started out wanting Obama to fail..and then never changed the mindset..despite the reality.
And what you want to put up in the white house..is a guy spouting the same sort of nonsense that got us to the brink of economic disaster.

Except, unlike Bush, Obama's "new agencies and regulations" were funded and actually helpful to those in the lower and middle classes.
Bush's new "regulations and agencies", like the change in overtime rules, prescription drug benefit and department of homeland security..were largely unfunded and favored the 1%.
