I said "millions of years" ... if I remember correctly, astronomers claim the Sun was only 70% as bright as it is today as it was when she first ignited ... the nuclear shell grows as time passes increasing energy output ...

The Sun continues to eat matter that gets too close. But it also ejected matter in CMEs. When the Sun first "ignited" was billions, perhaps 10 billion years ago.
There is theory, no data, from that far back, but there is no evidence that there are material fluctuations of the Sun's output, or any evidence the Sun's output has changed at all since the 4 billion mark, the origin of Earth.
