You have an excellent point. I am sixty six so this is largely not my worry, but at the least you and I can attempt to get the truth out there so that our children and grandchildren and young people are generally better prepared than Mr. Al Gore prepared them with his film "An Inconvenient Truth" and by how Mr. Bill Gates prepared them with his lecture from 2010 "Innovating to zero."

I believe that any variation of a Carbon Tax is a total waste of time, money and effort....
but turning deserts green is a win, win, win, win alternative that actually would assist to stabilize the climate and every cubic meter of sea water that is desalinated and added to the water table of a nation with lots of desert, is great news for all real estate that is vulnerable to the threat of rising ocean levels, [when the oceans do almost certainly rise].

For the next few decades though the melting and cracking and sliding of ice off of Greenland.... and the addition of H2O in Antarctica.... gets us closer and closer to the possible of the orbital pattern of the earth beginning to wobble. That is called HAB Theory and Dr. Albert Einstein did take his friend Immanuel Velikovsky's ideas about that seriously for many years.

Here are a couple of quotations relevant to HAB Theory.

Here is the full article by Mr. Gershom Gale on that topic.

The brilliant Graham Hancock felt that all that weight of H2O being added to Antarctica could begin to affect the orbital pattern of this earth as early as 2030?
I will be 88 in 4 months. Years back, I heard of the HAB theory and have no information to add or subtract.
Can the Earth wobble? I really can't help on that. I want to say no, but that is not at all scientific.

I would love to think that the earth cannot wobble but I do know that the rather brilliant Graham Hancock does a pretty good job of explaining how it may be possible?

"Let us consider Antarctica for a moment.
We have already seen that it is big. It has a land area of 5.5
million square miles, and is presently covered by something in excess
of seven million cubic miles of ice weighing an estimated 19
quadrillion tons (19 followed by 15 zeros). What worries the
theorists of earth-crust displacement is that this vast ice-cap is
remorselessly increasing in size and weight:'at the rate of 293 cubic
miles of ice each year--almost as much as if Lake Ontario were frozen
solidly annually and added to it.(Graham Hancock, Fingerprints of
the Gods, page 480).
