For God's sake, will the stupidity NEVER end?

Eventually, yes – but it could take several decades.

And of course we’ll never be completely free from such stupidity, periods of reactionaryism being cyclical; as long as there are conservatives, there will always be stupidity.
I know there's always been stupidity, just like I know there will always be stupidity in a certain segment of society.

However, in my honest opinion, it's never been anywhere close to being this bad on a collective scale. It's as if it's a contagion of some kind that's spreading much like Covid-19.

What has happened to our country when millions of Americans have embraced superstition and conspiratorial theories as if they're the gospel truth?

They think that man can control the climate, that's what they do.

But at some point, don't most reasonable people kind of catch on to what's actually true as opposed to chasing nonsense that harms them and their loved ones?

How are they hurting their loved ones? You can catch and spread covid whether you're vaccinated or not. I got the vaccination but I did so for my own personal reasons. It doesn't matter what those reasons are just like it doesn't matter what your reasons are for not getting the vaccination.

Leftists live in fantasy land. Did anybody in their right mind believe that when a vaccine was available, all 340 million of us were going to get it? The left who is now in charge of our federal government is pushing this so hard that the anit-vax people have more of a reason to be suspicious. After all, how many of us here totally trust our federal government for anything?

If people choose to get the vax, leave them alone, they're not bothering anybody. If people choose not to, leave them alone, they are not bothering anybody.

I've heard several "experts" say that either people are vaccinated for covid and likely risk little more than a mild infection, or people are unvaccinated, and they'll get ill with a greater likelihood of hospitalization and death.

Survival of the fittest means more than just looking in both directions before crossing a busy street.

The simple truth is this. Regardless of mandates, no one can force people to not be stupid to the Nth degree
YOU HEARD. lol. CNN? probably.

Idiot. Try listening to real doctors who are NOT being paid by big pharma. IF the vax worked, why a second one? And a booster? And more masks?

No. Not an idiot. Yer a moron. BAAAAAAAAAAA!

We need a sheep smiley.

Many have....of other problems NOT covid.

It has already been documented, that folks that are vocal opponents of these jabs, if they have other serious health problems, if they do indeed have to go to the hospital for any other reason, high blood pressure, stroke, COPD, adverse drug reaction, stress, whatever, the folks at the hospitals will treat them like second class citizens, almost to the point of putting their lives in danger.

THIS IS NOT CONSPIRACY THEORY any more. We have recorded cases of it. Gracie is correct. Naturally, he is an older gentlemen and in a higher risk group, and IMO, probably should have gotten the jab if he had any comorbidity at all. OTH? If there was no underlying health condition, we can't truth get the truth from hospitals and news outlets, or expect them to tell us all the facts anymore. THEY ALL HAVE AN AGENDA.

When this is what you see at the commercial breaks, if you can't tell that this is NOT really news you are watching, but fear porn?

YOU NEED HALP.

When I decided to get the shot it was based on my own evaluation of myself, my doctor of course, and my cousin who is a retired research doctor and knows everything possible about this vaccine. Based on their input and my self-evaluation, I decided on taking the plunge.

However I can't make that same judgement for anybody else. I don't know about them what I know about myself. Even if I did I have no formal training to make such a decision as some companies are about their employees. And certainly no President can either.

"For now, they are harder and more expensive to manufacture and distribute than traditional types of vaccines, and their side effects are more common and more severe."

And that's fine. If that's what you believe then you don't get the shot. In fact it would be the worst thing you could do given the fact that every little ache, pain or sneeze you have the rest of your life, you'll be kicking yourself in the ass. Nobody should live like that. You should only get the shot if you are confident that whatever risks may be involved are less than the risk of what could happen if you catch covid.

There must be over a hundred topics on here of the vaccine; anti-vax people trying to convince the pro-vax people not to take it and the pro-vax people trying to convince the anti-vax people to take it. The problem is nobody is going to change the minds of other people. You're not going to be an anti-vax person and say "You know, I'm getting the vax because I read X on USMB." It's a complete waste of time.

That's another issue, it isn't conservatives that are stupid, it's the liars claiming to be 'conservatives' that are the reactionary's and the ignorant that rely on Dr. Facebook, twitter and talk show host, most of which, are vaccinated.
But, they don't mention that.

I originally saw a posting for Marcus Lamb who died at the age of 64 reportedly of a heart attack after being hospitalized for a Covid infection. Before (and after his death) his "Christian" Daystar Network broadcast anti-vaxx content which kind of defies common sense if you ask me.

Lamb is not the first anti-vaxxer to die of Covid. No, there have been many vocal anti-vaxxers who have died prior to Lamb.

But at some point, don't most reasonable people kind of catch on to what's actually true as opposed to chasing nonsense that harms them and their loved ones?

Well, there's scant evidence it's happened thus far considering the evidence of a relatively high-profile pro-Trump supporter podcaster like Doug Kuzma who is now on a ventilator after attending...wait for it...a "QAnon-Friendly" event in Texas.

Having posted this. I will add the following:

I recall entertaining certain superstitious beliefs (and even sometimes believing them) when I was a minor child. But adulthood, in essence, was seemingly a cure for such beliefs and superstitions.

What has happened to our country when millions of Americans have embraced superstition and conspiratorial theories as if they're the gospel truth?

How can that possibly bode well for our collective future?

He's just another fraudulent charlatan peddling bullshit to the gullible sheep who haunt those churches.
He promises them eternity and comfort but only if you pay him money.
He's in his place.

Putin made them do it.

Thank you for asking the question. This is part of the big picture that is not discussed enough, yet.

The last six years are a reflection of what has happened to our society, and it's not a good sign.

Your link is inundated with lefty propaganda. It even referred to RFK Jr’s opposition to vaccines from May 2019.
The chicoms didn’t hit us with the virus attack until several months later.
They refer to censorship as justifiable due to alleged misinformation while their story is loaded with misinformation.
Why do you democrats celebrate death so much?
Republicans don't celebrate life with the unvaccinated, RFK jr. , who might that be, an opinion, everybody has an opinion. Republicans only care about fetuses in the womb. another way to make women bow to men.
