FOIA requests for all trump's claimed declassified documents.

If they were declassified, as Trump indicated, they can be classified again.
Ok. There is a record for every document that is classified, showing why it was classified, when it was classified, and who made that determination. I ask again, when were those documents re-classified?

That will be up to Trump's lawyers, wouldn't you think?

Re-declassified??

Re-declassified??
Trump is not president. He nor his lawyers have any authority concerning classified doccuments.

Thanks for pointing out my typo. I corrected it.

And??

Trump was president and says the doc's were declassified by Him. The issue is whether or not He was able to possess them. Until and if, it ever gets to court, everything else is speculation.

It's already in court BooBoo. Tump's lawyers haven't claimed he declassified anything. You might think that is the first thing they would claim, but nope. The documents belong to the American people, and not trump no matter what their classification might be.

Not in court.
You unhappy Trump's lawyers aren't playing 'in the court of public opinion'?
That's for prog socialists.

In real court with real judges. with many of the same judges trump appointed, who also rule against him quite regularly.

There is no means to declassify documents just for trump. If they are declassified for him, they are declassified for everybody, and there has to be a list of them somewhere to keep track of which papers he took with him. I'm surprised all the major news outlets haven't already filed FOIA requests for all that information just to see te response. John Bolton seems to think the same thing.
Nice try but Trump declassified Crossfire Hurricane documents in writing while president and ordered the DOJ to release them. The DOJ unlawfully refused and are now being sued for their release.

FOIA was a very American idea but it is being nullified by the un-American DOJ. They need to be refunded and wack US Attorney be autonomous and report directly to the president.

Is there really?

I don't think so, for this logical reason:

Suppose the president, or someone the president has given classification authority, writes a memo and decides that the information is classified, because it talks about the Skywater Project, about which everything is top secret. So he stamps it TOP SECRET, puts a cover sheet on it, and hands it to an aide for delivery in a locked briefcase handcuffed to his wrist.

Then he realizes that he must create a record of the classification, showing why it was classified, when it was classified, and who made that determination. So, he types a memorandum for record explaining that the document that he created on this date, Subject: The Skywater Project, is classified Top Secret, by his authority, because the Skywater Project is a plan to
REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED REDACTED.
.

He starts to file it, then realizes that this MFR is also classified because it talks about the Skywater Project. He stamps it Top Secret and then he opens another word document to create a record of having classified the MFR, showing why it was classified, when it was classified, and who made that determination. He stamps that record Top Secret, and then realizes . . .

. . . that he is in an infinite loop.

The mistake the Trump opponents make in thinking about this is believing that there is some organization or regulation or something, somewhere that oversees the President's authority over classification and de-classification. This belief is based on thinking 'There must be," or "their should be," or "isn't there?"

No.

There isn't. Not anywhere is there any person, organization or agency, or set of rules that tells the president what he or she must do when he or she classifies or de-classifies a document.

To answer your implied question about how a de-classified document can be re-classified: Biden can do it with a word. He can right now say, "all documents with classified markings taken from Trump's home are now classified at the same level as their marking indicates."

That's all and I'll fully agree that they are now classified because Biden has that power. The secret to making that work is not to rely on some non-existent oversight function, but to elect presidents worthy of such power.

Or take such power away from any one person, which may not be a bad idea given the last several presidents.

But you cannot do that retroactively, and Biden's declaration will not make Trump guilty of taking and keeping classified documents.

Yes, Trump appointed judges to follow the law and rule on cases, not to be his toadies.

I'm sure you would agree at this point that being a toady was exactly why Obama selected Merrick Garland.

What an absurd Rube Goldberg like story. Put the bong down and try again later.

Ok MAGA. What ever you say. I know better than to try talking a crazy out of being crazy.

That's not even close to the reality.

And yet he wound up with a toadie in Judge Cannon whose special master decision was completely devoid of all connection to the law.
