Lying doesn't work. It's being creative with the truth.
If someone asked me if I painted commissioned work I would truthfully say that I do not solicit commissions nor advertise that I am available for commissions.
All true.
But it may become necessary to lie and that's ok too. Like I said, let's see them prove that the cake artist's hand doesn't hurt. You can also keep the requisite supplies intentionally limited so as to claim credibly that you don't have it on hand.
The larger point is we Christians have had to operate underground before when persecution was rampant. And anyone who has lived through such times, like in WW2 Europe, knows that survival means deceiving the powers that be. As we approach the last days, and we are, things will swing full circle, as prophesied, nobody could buy or sell without the mark of perdition. What's happening right now is just the beginning and we need more survivors and fewer martyrs.
