Florist Sued for Refusing Service to Gay Couple Pens Defiant Letter Rejecting Gov’t Settlement Offer

Lying doesn't work. It's being creative with the truth.

If someone asked me if I painted commissioned work I would truthfully say that I do not solicit commissions nor advertise that I am available for commissions.

All true.
But it may become necessary to lie and that's ok too. Like I said, let's see them prove that the cake artist's hand doesn't hurt. You can also keep the requisite supplies intentionally limited so as to claim credibly that you don't have it on hand.

The larger point is we Christians have had to operate underground before when persecution was rampant. And anyone who has lived through such times, like in WW2 Europe, knows that survival means deceiving the powers that be. As we approach the last days, and we are, things will swing full circle, as prophesied, nobody could buy or sell without the mark of perdition. What's happening right now is just the beginning and we need more survivors and fewer martyrs.
At the mall in Nigeria Christians were lying to save their own lives by saying they were muslim. I don't see anything wrong with that at all. If I am comparing gays and the government that oppresses on their behalf to islamic terrorists the comparison is entirely intentional.

Shouldn't be problem, with the name of this secret muslim bakery we can just verify that they don't offer wedding cakes as part of their public offerings.

Unless of course this is just another one of those made-up stories.

Lol. Follow the law or go to jail Fatty. I can't believe that I had to tell you that

Not if the law violates our rights. I'm not at all surprised I had to tell you that.

No American is obligated to follow unjust laws.

There is no end to the examples down though history where 'I was just following the law', turned out very, VERY bad for people who were disinclined to use the mind God gave 'em, to use their means to reason to reject subjective law.

But in their defense, they did so because they reason subjectively, thus reject the objectivity that is required to be a decent human being.

Not quite. You are obligated to follow the law whether you consider it just or not. You may choose to not follow the law, but that does not remove the consequences of that decision.

If you have to lie to have your faith, don't bother. And if you believe lying is allowed, don't call yourself a Christian since you aren't one.

I too would like the name of that bakery. Westwood isn't that far from West Hollywood. IF that had REALLY happened, I doubt we would have not heard about it.

Obligated to follow the law even when it's unjust? I'm sure the Nazis would have loved to have you on the panel of judges during the Nuremberg trials. You might have prevented a few hangings.

So you acknowledge it to be a made-up story.

What IS it with so-called Christians getting all worked up over gays and yet totally blowing off the Commandment against lying?

You forget yourself. You are neither a Christian nor in ANY position to decide who is and what standards Christians must abide by. You done bumped your head, boy.

So if someone puts a gun to the head of a Christian and says either renounce Jesus or die, they should do it? That's not a faith worthy of any kind of respect. That's not even faith.

.

True- but American's who dont' follow the law by calling them unjust can look forward to going to jail.

Just look at those who claim the income tax is 'unjust'.

So, are you implying someone who 'discriminates' against a gay couple based on their religious beliefs should be sent to jail?
\.

No.

Then why is it so hard for you to accept that there are religious business owners who would much rather not serve people who engage in practices they deem sacrilegious?

There are all kinds of things I would rather or rather not do, but it would be against the law. If the citizens of the state don't like the law, they should petition their government to change it. But it is still the law.

He's a "Christian", who has no issues lying to get his way, **** the Ten Commandments. Sounds like an American "Christian" alright. Remember that when your four kids lie to you Chief Sellout, they were just doing it to get their way, which you approve of.

In this country...if one feels a law is unjust you have two main options. Work to have it repealed? File a lawsuit to have it declared unConstitutional. When did the Nazis allow those options?
