Federal District Court Judge Donald Middlebrooks on Thursday dropped the hammer on former President Donald Trump's attorneys by hitting them with sanctions totaling nearly $1 million for what he described as "misuse of the courts

In a court order flagged by Politico's Kyle Cheney, Middlebrooks raked Trump's lawyers over the coals for their failed lawsuit against Hillary Clinton for purportedly defaming him by accusing him of being Russian President Vladimir Putin's puppet during the 2016 campaign.

"This case should never have been brought," Middlebrooks began his order. "Its inadequacy as a legal claim was evident from the start. No reasonable lawyer would have filed it. Intended for a political purpose, none of the counts of the amended complaint stated a cognizable legal claim."

You’ve now had your way to many days in court loser. From now on it’s going to be costly for you to be anywhere near a courthouse.

Judge sanctions Trump and his lawyer nearly $1 million for 'frivolous' lawsuit targeting Hillary Clinton

Federal judge sanctions Trump, attorneys over $900,000 for ‘a continuing pattern of misuse of the courts’

UNSKEWED TRANSLATION:

Middlebrooks raked Trump's lawyers over the coals for their failed lawsuit against Hillary Clinton
It failed only because he killed it.

for purportedly defaming him by accusing him of being Russian President Vladimir Putin's puppet during the 2016 campaign.
How could you not be defamed as a highly public figure by an enemy using the FISA Court and the whole of the DNC to spend two years and 30 million of the public's dollars on TV everyday calling you a corrupt, for hire Russian puppet? What the court was really protecting here was the alphabet agencies who were behind it all facilitating it. Had Trump won a conviction against Hillary, that would have legitimized a lawsuit against half the federal government as well!

"This case should never have been brought"
This court never wanted to see it and be faced with having to deal with the weight of it.

Its inadequacy as a legal claim was evident from the start.
The chances of the judge allowing such a case to be presented, and on the actual merits of the evidence-- risking the legal indemnity of the entire federal government in trying to effect real repair to our highly corrupted faux federal election system and thus, the entire reputation and career and retirement plan of the judge always was exactly ZERO.

No reasonable lawyer would have filed it.
A reasonable lawyer acts as a friend of the court, not an ally for political revolution even for the good of the nation.

Intended for a political purpose
THERE IT IS: By calling it a "political purpose," the court immediately renders the entire election process and the filling of elected offices in Washington as something entirely ABOVE legal consideration (THE LAW) instead of actually being held to a HIGHER standard! That is the foot in the door for making federal political corruption of the government as infinitely unaccountable to self-correction and thus the very SOURCE of where governmental corruption begins, and so, the sedition and subversion of the nation itself for corrupt ends possible.

Since everything involving election fraud and cheating EFFECTS a political end (an elected office determining representation by the people), the judge just admitted that the court will not even consider it.

none of the counts of the amended complaint stated a cognizable legal claim.
Lawyers such as the judge, all with an interest in preserving and protecting the justice system as effected for their own benefit, have carefully crafted the law not to include any punishable standard for malfeasance within the government itself, but they have 500,000 laws on you, so they call all challenges against election malfeasance by the government itself "legally uncognizable" (fancy way of saying "legally undefined," and the court cannot consider nor act upon an undefined legal challenge as the law gives no compass on how to treat it).

Middlebrooks went on to detail the damage caused by the Trump legal team.
Now he wants to bitch-slap them hoping it'll scare them into falling into line. If Trump and they have any brains, they will appeal the judgement.

Frivolous lawsuits are ok. Courts are there to broaden the legal industry. Stopping frivolous lawsuits will never be a thing.

Trump did what he has done for years. Files a lawsuit with no actual intent to follow it to conclusion because he realized most people would cave rather than spend the money to fight it.

It just doesn't work outside of his old business dealings.

Earlier a judge had to practically beg him to provide his evidence and rather than do that, he dropped the case.

I believe he very well may have had a case here but Trump is stuck with ambulance chasers because of how many times he has stiffed lawyers in the past. He also doesn't have the ability to stick something out.

not in every case.

Winners don't get money.

Here is an example:

George sues Bob for one million dollars. George pays his lawyer $20,000. Bob pays his lawyer $20,000. George wins the lawsuit. Bob never pays George.

George wins negative $20,000. Bob wins negative $20,000. Both lawyers gain $20,000. Bob wouldn't pay if is life or his freedom depended on it. Bob would rather sit in jail than to pay George. The legal profession is stupid. If you ever have legal issues it is a guaranteed loss. There is no reason to pay a lawyer. The lawyer will make you lose bigger. The aggressors always win in court. That's why the legal profession is so lucrative. It works every time for the bad guy. There is no justice. Just lawyers.

Because obviously that is the norm.
