The virus does not spread by droplets. Since last summer they have known it's largely an airborne respiratory virus. The benefit then of blocking a few droplets is negligible. And think on this. Maybe, the droplets exiting through the cloth are broken down into smaller fragments which can then float better on the air. There is better evidence for THAT than there is for any benefit from masks.

You are comparing apples to oranges here. "Voluntary Masking" and "mandatory masking" are two very different policies. Even if masking were assumed effective- an unproven theorem, making people who aren't committed to the policy do it isn't necessarily the same.


BTW, most school board members and teachers themselves don't have kids in the government schools. A friend of mine when I was in school, his dad was a school board member and the kid attended private school. Another kid I knew, his mum was government school teacher.

Hospitals are testing ALL incoming patients for COVID- regardless of what they show up for.

The reason is to segregate them from other patients if they are positive.
