The problem is forcing people to wear a mask is almost impossible when you have no way to enforce it in State like Texas.

Even though businesses have signs on their doors I see it daily where Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites do not wear their damn mask, so as long there is no penalty for not wearing one people will defy the request of wearing the mask.

Then be glad you are not in Cities like Houston where people see the signs on the door and still refuse to wear masks and it matter not the skin color because we have stupid in all races.

If people would just get vaccinated and wear the masks we can slow this virus to a crawl but it will never be eliminated in the World, but can very limited impact and spikes that will overwhelm the medical community.

When people write “ well not many die from it “ well true in percentage terms not many have died from it but if we overwhelm the medical community with people infected by the virus then yes many will die because people will lack the medication and medical treatment that is needed but alas people in the Universe do not care and just care about being free to be stupid.

DeSantis is allowing parents to make the decision for their children on whether to wear a mask!

The man must be stopped!!!!!

You nullify the parents who want the school environment being safer, with masks.... when some parents choose for their kids not to wear a mask.

Either everyone masks up, or it basically affects nothing.

It should be decided on the community's spread/urgency....then democratically.... If you insist a parent gets to choose.... Have a vote.... Majority wins.

It's utter bull crap that parents individually choose.... Do they get to choose the school dress code, or curriculum, or child vaccine mandates for school entrance etc etc etc?

No one is proposing masks be banned, just that they not be mandated.

And like I pointed out, the effectiveness is unproven at best. Masking in the government schools makes it impossible for children to identify the other child who shivs them in the back for their lunch money. Further, the kids will be handling the masks all day when they go to the boys room to smoke cigarettes.
