Today is the beginning....the first guilty plea for a member of obama's goon squad...

One of the FBI officials who spied on the Trump team during the campaign and during the early months of the administration plans to plead guilty to lying on a document used to get a FISA warrant extension to continue Operation Crossfire Hurricane — otherwise known as Russiagate.

U.S. Attorney John Durham charged former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith with altering an email about then-Trump volunteer adviser Carter Page to secure another 90-day extension of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act in order to keep spying on the Trump campaign for fantastical ties to Russia. Clinesmith reportedly intends to plead guilty.

The investigation into ties with Russia with then-candidate Trump and his team was based on Hillary Clinton’s opposition research, which itself was found to be bogus and based on bar-room stories and jokes. The memos, full of drunk fake history, rumors, and fantasies embodied in the so-called “Steele dossier,” were taken up by the FBI and used to get warrants to continue an official investigation into Trump and his campaign to find out if Trump was somehow a Russian secret agent and a Putin poodle, or at least smear him as such.

Treacherous Switch

Clinesmith completely changed the document—from the CIA verifying that Page provided the agency with reliable updates from his travels in Russia on an ongoing basis to saying Page was not a source. His attorneys claimed it was an innocent mistake.
----
Clinesmith’s treacherous switch portrayed Page, a relative non-entity in the Trump campaign, into a shady character worthy of being surveilled – surveillance which included multiple generations of phone calls, wiretaps, email, and the like. One wiretap, for example, included the people with whom Page had interacted and with whom that next generation of targets had interacted. Former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova said that each wiretap represented multiple people.

Nope... their brain washing runs too deep.

I wouldn't count on any higher-ups getting charged. If they had been working on that then they could have said today that there were sealed indictments. If this clown had turned they would already have enough to indict someone else, just keep it sealed to set it in the minds of others.

When the damn breaks and all the little rats start jumping ship and singing like canaries to save their ass... the republicans better ride this wave to the end, all the way to obama, and SNIFF...

Nunes: Obama and Biden Knew About Spying on the Trump Campaign

On Thursday, Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo interviewed President Trump. Trump told Bartiromo that the Obama administration “spied on my campaign, which is treason.”

“President Obama knew everything. Vice President Biden, as dumb as he may be, he knew everything. And everybody else knew everything, Maria, and you know it. And Comey and Brennan and Clapper, they all were terrible and they lied to Congress…”

After the president’s interview, Rep. Devin Nunes, the top Republican on the House Intelligence Committee, appeared on Bartiromo’s show. She asked Nunes about Trump’s comments about the spying on his campaign, and whether he agreed with Trump’s statement that it went all the way up to Obama and Biden.

“It’s way worse than even we thought it was,” Nunes told her. “And we knew it was really, really bad.”

Nunes then pointed out that, based on declassified notes, we know that it was Biden who suggested going after Flynn, based on the Logan Act.

“So, clearly, the previous administration knew that they were spying on the Trump campaign. Joe Biden should have known at the time to put a halt to this. So he is just as guilty as everybody else.”

Nunes explained that by “guilty” he didn’t mean that Biden specifically broke any laws, but “he knew damn well that something was occurring, using our intelligence apparatus in this country … to target people that his party had just got their clocks cleaned by in 2016.”

In May, declassified Department of Justice (DOJ) documents showed that President Obama was aware of the details of wiretapped conversations of then-incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak back in December 2016. Joe Biden was also aware, and was present at a meeting discussing it.

“On January 5, 2017, Yates attended an Oval Office meeting with then-FBI Director James Comey, then-Vice President Joe Biden, then-CIA Director John Brennan, and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, according to the newly declassified documents, including an FD-302 FBI witness report,” reported Fox News’ Gregg Re at the time. “They were discussing Russian election interference, along with national security adviser Susan Rice and other members of the national security council.”

The entire investigation of Trump and his associates was based on Russian disinformation, and the FBI “used Russia’s meddling with the 2016 election as a pretext to investigate Donald Trump” and those around him.

I wouldn't count on that. Barr has made it clear, time and again, that if they find someone broke the law, they will be held accountable. He's stated, "that is why I came out of retirement and took this job."

I mean, after the way the demtrash have treated him, you think he's going to just let a bunch of the corrupt assholes off the hook, so they can pull this kind of crap again? I don't think so.

Everyone knew this guy would eventually be sold down the river......he deserved it..........

Easy hit............

Easy hit is what he should be afraid of if he talks.

I'd love it but realistically he would be killing himself.
