Its amazing how the alarmists will post up the same crap over and over again expecting a different result.

The AMO (Atlantic Multidecadle Oscillation) has now dropped below the northern Atlantic ridge. The salinity (thus the weight) of the water has risen and now the warm waters that were just recently being pushed up the straights into the arctic have now diminished by 80%.

This warming push was noted back in the late 1800's when mariners would began seeing icebergs at 30-35 deg Lat up until this year when it suddenly subsided just last month.

The dark green line is the northern Atlantic ridge. Lighter, warmer water would rise up and pass the ridge, then progress up the straights and then exit on the other side as cold water as this older map shows.

The warm water is now gone and a reverse deep water cold flow is starting. This change, according to paleo records, lasts about 130 years before reverting. The cooling phase for the Atlantic and the Arctic has begun.

The change is significant and will affect the Atlantic now for a very long time.

There have been times in our past when CO2 level were much higher and the earth cooler. There are times when the CO2 levels were lower and the temperature higher.

It is only a theory that CO2 is a greenhouse gas. In reality the chemistry is more complex than the computer models predict. That is why the Environmental wackos have to adjust data in order to prove the correlation.

Besides, humans have little effect on the CO2 balance of the earth.

Damn, another dumb ****. The CO2 cycle on Earth remained in balance for most of the interglacial, with very little variance. Yes, that is a lot of natural emission, and it was balanced by natural absorption. It was not until we started burning fossil fuels that we saw the increase in atmospheric CO2 and CH4. We have gone from 280 ppm of CO2 to 410 ppm, and increase of 130 ppm. The difference between a glacial period, 180 ppm, and and the present interglacial, 280 ppm, is 120 ppm. So, how the hell do you come up with the stupidity that adding 130 ppm is not going to make a difference?

Also, we moved the amount of CH4 in the atmosphere from about 750 ppb to over 1800 ppb. On a decadal scale, CH4 is about 100 times as effective GHG as CO2. And when it oxidizes in the atmosphere, the products are H20 and CO2, both GHGs.

During the late Ordovician period about 500 million years ago the earth almost completely frozen over. The CO2 was about 3,000 - 5,000 PPM, about ten times what it is now. There are many more examples but more recently during the Medieval Warming period the CO2 was about 30% lower than what it is now but the earth warmer than what it is now.

There is no proof that CO2 causes global warming and there is less proof that the man made portion of that cause global warming. Just some half ass correlation that is often significantly flawed like the cherry picked ice core samples that were debunked in Al Gore's stupid book or the false temperature data put out by NOAA or NASA under the Obama administration.

Substantial historical data indicates that CO2 doesn't lead temperature rise, its lags. You should see how the AGW scam artist try to dance around that one

Water vapor in the atmosphere, the output of the sun, earth's orbital cycles, natural methane release and volcanic activity and orther natural factors control the climate of the earth, not my gas guzzling V-8 Tundra pick up truck or your air conditioning.

It is what it is and we just have to deal with it as a cost of industrialization and population growth. However, the science simply does support the fact that man made CO2 emission causes significant climate changes.

Abstract
The end Ordovician glaciation is distinct among Phanerozoic glaciations in that CO2, levels were generally high, yet major continental ice sheets accumulated on the Gondwana supercontinent. New oxygen isotopic data indicate substantial changes in sea-water temperatures and ice volume coinciding with glacio-eustatic changes in sea level reflecting the growth and decay of the Gondwana ice cap. Major glaciation was apparently confined to the Hirnantian and was 0.5-1 m.y. long, rather than the 35 m.y. of earlier estimates. Carbon isotope values indicate significant changes in carbon cycling as the oceans changed from a state with warm saline bottom waters to a state with cold deep-water circulation and then back again. We believe that the changes in the carbon cycle effected a reduction in PCO2 levels in the oceans and atmosphere and thus promoted glaciation but were unable to sustain icehouse conditions in a greenhouse world.

Abstract
A new approach explaining the main forcing factor of Hirnantian glaciation is proposed herein. It follows the models associating occurrences of continental glaciations with periods of low atmospheric CO2 levels. The accumulation of great volumes of carbonates during pre-Hirnantian late Ordovician, in regions where these deposits were previously absent, is suggested as a major sink of atmospheric CO2. This would have caused an important lowering of the average temperature in the early Hirnantian, after CO2values had attained a certain threshold. This process was maintained by other positive feedbacks, such as the short-term carbonate weathering CO2 sink. An increase of the direct flux of CO2 from the atmosphere to the oceans by means of dissolution would have been driven by the enhancement of carbonate deposition. The great inundation of the low latitude Laurentia craton during Cincinnatian times and the establishment of a temperate-water carbonate sedimentation on the North Gondwana margin during pre-Hirnantian Ashgill allowed the burying of more than 840 × 1015 kg (1.9 × 1019 mol) of dissolved CO2. This mass is equivalent to nearly 350 times the present values of atmospheric CO2. This is important enough to have greatly altered the equilibrium between the CO2 dissolved in the oceans and the partial pressure of CO2 in the air, eventually causing an important reduction of the latter. The new model also offers a simple explanation for the end of the glaciation after a short time-span. Glacioeustatic lowering of the sea level, concomitant with the glaciation, would have stopped the extra-sedimentation of carbonate due to the retreat of the oceans from the platforms, closing this CO2 sink. Pre-glacial CO2 levels would then recover, due to volcanic and metamorphic CO2 outgassing. After subsequent melting of the ice cap, oceanic circulation did not recover pre-Hirnantian Ashgill strength, resulting in a strong stratification of ocean waters and precluding the recovery of an extensive carbonate deposition. The well-known positive shift in the δ13C at the base of the Hirnantian is assumed to have been caused by weathering and dissolution of carbonates, relatively enriched in 13C, during the glacioeustatic regression and exposure of the platforms.
