Public school are for learning and isn't for christian religious instruction.

Another victory for sanity

The Freedom From Religion Foundation has settled a lawsuit with Emanuel County School District in Swainsboro, Ga., after stopping teacher-led prayer and proselytization in its public schools.

FFRF court victory: Ga. school stops school prayer - Freedom From Religion Foundation

That's always been the issue, 'teacher-led.' Can pray all you want at school as long as it isn't the school leading or organizing it. Kids on their own can pray all they like in-between classes or other times for formal school activities.

When I was in high school, we prayed during one of my classes every Friday and its because we the students were okay with the idea. There was only one time that the vote was not unanimous.

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

Holly (class of 2000)

P.S. Our prayer requests were written on the black board. :) :) :)

'The complaint alleged that teasing classmates and pressure to pray from teachers led Jamie to drop out of kindergarten, while teachers told Jesse, a first grader, to start praying and not to listen to Jesse's mother, whom one teacher described as a "bad person."'

This sort of ignorance, hate, and contempt for the First Amendment is truly remarkable.
