We should be encouraging them to learn English, not make it easier for them not to.

They can speak their mother languages and use then at home all they want, but when dealing with the rest of society, they should use English.

And did they demand that announcements be made in their foreign language? Between the Arabic and the Spanish at my local shopping mall, it’s a pleasant surprise to hear English once in a while.

I’d pay that in return for the benefits of ridding the country of illegals:

1) Americans doing those jobs (as they used to) and getting off welfare

2) The caliber of the public schools going up as we won’t have half the kids not able to speak English

3) Rents going down since the demand for apartments will go down

4) Wages going up since semi-literate foreigners here illegally won’t be undercutting Americans
