I see no logical reason why a private person like Nick Sandman can sue all the fake news media when they slander, libel and defame him but a so-called public figure cannot unless they can prove actual malice.

Well, I listen and read a wide range of different sources, and moreover I can seperate opinions, from hard news....some sources, such as Fox do a good job of highligthing the difference between the two in their programming....Wallace v. Hannity of example...other sources don't...and blur the lines...MSNBC, for example.

One of the other major issues is newspapers...the Post and NY Times have gotten much worse, and I don't really know if the Post could do what you suggest anymore...

The Judge also discussed other outlets, that really aren't news outlets, but can filter news..such as social media...as we saw during the campaign when they blocked a legit news story about Hunter Biden. I think that's a seperate issue, and what these outlets have done, is violated the law that has given them immunity from such suits, and should lose it

You seriously have no idea how a free press is supposed to work do you? It has been determined the press has the constitutional right to protect their sources from retaliation. It is really the only way we ever find out anything about what the government is really doing. Only rarely have "unnamed sources" proven to have been fabricated nor is that the end of the effort to corroborate their story.
