Congress needs to codify DACA in Federal immigration law.

Needless to say that’s not going to happen and this will be an ‘issue’ again the next Republican administration.

I support DACA and I fully believe we allow people who came here as kids to be able to stay here but I disagree with this ruling.

DACA was an EO wrote by Obama late in his administration because he did nothing for years. EO's are allowed to be overturned by the next president.

I see the humanitarian side of it.
I can imagine being raised somewhere and all I ever know is that place, and then being told to leave because my parents brough me illegally as a child.
That would be pretty terrible.

The problem I see it is that allowing DACA or things like it causes major unintentional consequences. Now people know... smuggle those kids/minors in, and they can stay. Get the kids in, and now the parents can stay. So you have thousands/millions of people unloading their kids into this country. I don’t need to explain the consequences of that.
And that’s assuming they are kids.
What’s to stop Pico the 18 year old from some Aztec village in central Nowhere to come over, and when he is picked up claim he was raised here and been living here since he was 5?
What’s to stop the 30 year old from getting picked up and claiming he has been here since he was 5 years old?
