The two points of the NSA here:

  • It's ok for us to violate the U.S. Constitution if we can't think of an alternative

  • If you don't like it, do our job for us and come up with the solution that we are actually paid to come up with
Critics of the U.S. National Security Agency’s bulk collection of U.S. residents’ telephone records should offer a better way to track terrorists and protect the country against attacks, the agency’s director said Wednesday.

The NSA’s bulk collection of U.S. telephone records is the “least intrusive” way to track suspected terrorists’ communications with people in the U.S., General Keith Alexander said, defending the NSA’s mass data collection and surveillance programs to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.

”If we can come up with a better way, we ought to put it on the table and argue our way through it,” Alexander said. “There is no other way that we know of to connect the dots.”

Show us a better way than collecting metadata NSA director says to critics

the government and it's minions are out of control, really.

this would be hilarious if that won't be tragic in reality.

I just can't believe the audacity in essentially saying "we're paid to do a job that we're so incompetent at doing, if you don't like the results then do our job for us".

This is what happens when you govern the largest municipal corporation in the world with a business plan written 200+ years ago.

First of all - the country... not corporation.

Second, if the Democrats have a better "plan", why don't they legally and properly amend the Constitution?

A city, county, and State's are municipal corporations, why not a country?

Democrats do have a better plan, but the Republican/corporate America controlled Senate stands in the way.

A better way?

It's called profiling, which is a valuable tool. Yes, young Muslim males are more likely to be a terrorist than an old lady wearing Depends or a crippled child in a wheelchair.

I don't believe it's about terrorism. The spying is about finding political enemies. That is precisely why they put people on the watch list that tend to lean toward the right, like veterans, constitutionalists, active military or Paul Rand supporters. They put them on the list, then expanded their power to spy and it's all about spying on the dissenters.

Terrorists are known to buy disposable cell phones, so find a way to listen to those instead of the phones people buy under their own names.

Or they could use reasonable red flag words, like bomb, Allah, jihad, kill, chemical weapons or other terms likely used when planning an attack.

As it is, they probably flag words like Obamacare, socialist, nanny or big government, welfare, illegal immigrant or Benghazi. They want to know who is against them.

You think the Republican's control the Senate? :eusa_doh:

Clearly the Dumbocrats don't have "a better plan" or the American people would give them the votes they need to amend the Constitution. In fact, the Dumbocrats don't have any plan. All they ever do is propse the same old, tired, failed govenrment "solution" (ie "just give us more power, control, and money").

So you think we should dispense with the Bill of Rights? Is that really what you're saying?

Every now and then libturds show their true colors and say what they really think. That's when everyone has that horrified expression on their faces.

Left wingers have always seen the Constitution as an obstacle to overcome. With Obama (and the help of political correctness) they just blatantly ignore it and do what they damn well please.

What a crock. The whole Republican line-up during the last election wanted to run the country like a corporation.

And if you don't think corporations run the country, you've got your head up your ass.

That's why corporations are writing the EPA regs and Obamacare mandates, right?
Oops.

If corporations ran the country sweetie, this nation wouldn't be a Dumbocrat disaster - $17 trillion in debt and and with so many regulations that there isn't a single human on Earth that can identify them all (including the Dumbocrat assholes who have created said regulations).

So you have no problem with the idea Mark Levin has put out in his book, "The Liberty Amendments"?

Most Republicans don't have control of their own bladder, but the do have control of the Senate.

Here's a fact for you. A healthy middle-class makes a healthy economy. Quit voting for politicians that step on the middle-class.

What makes you think corporations aren't behind the EPA and Obamacare too?

Follow the money.

I never wrote 'dispense'. The constitution needs to be updated.
