Living legally in the United States for ten years, with no criminal record, and admittedly deported by mistake, I fail to understand why you have decided that this Maryland sheet metal worker should be kept indefinitely in a notorious mega-prison in El Salvador.

I've heard good arguments on both sides.

FOR GARCIA: He was granted a permanent green card 6 years ago for reasons unknown, and was living and working here married to an American woman and had an American kid.

AGAINST GARCIA: He was twice before determined to have been a member of MS13, living here as a non-citizen, and a citizen of El Salvador.

Me, I have a bit of a problem with him suddenly being picked up no warning, arrested and shipped out unceremoniously without even so much as a hearing. But I also understand that he is a citizen of El Salvador, is IN El Salvador, so it is up to El Salvador now to decide what to do with him, we can't just go in and "take him."

Could Trump swing it? Make it happen? Probably. But I'm guessing that the right thing to have done years ago was to deport him then. I'm also guessing that if it wasn't for these asshole judges like Boasman trying to usurp the foreign policy of the White House, Trump might be less adamant in getting these people out ASAP any way he can.

I also wonder why in all the years that Garcia was here, why he never applied for permanent naturalization as an actual citizen.
