Again for the STUPID, police don't just shoot up a car. There has to be a lethal threat to them or others. DOES THAT APPLY TO ICE?

If someone has just tried to strike a police officer with his car (a deadly weapon under those circumstances), the police have a clear obligation to stop the fleeing felon.

By the way: it wasn’t an “arrest.” It was a mere car stop.

Law enforcement is allowed to demand that a driver produce proof of a license to drive as well as proof of registration of the vehicle and proper insurance. So it shouldn’t have been difficult AT ALL for the driver to simply comply.

None of this is to say that these officer La or agents did their jobs fully by the book. Even so, the driver’s behavior was unhinged.
