FDR Saved America ?

You should read your links

"By 1927, only the wealthiest 2% of taxpayers paid any federal income tax.[113] Federal spending remained flat during Coolidge's administration, allowing one-fourth of the federal debt to be retired in total. State and local governments saw considerable growth, however, surpassing the federal budget in 1927.[114]"
His policies led to the worst depression in American history.

FDR was the reason we were involved in WW2. He allowed Pearl Harbor to be bombed

Um, how was he supposed to stop it, exactly?

seems to me that it was up to the commanders in Hawaii to be prepared for an attack and they weren't.
Gen MacArthur was even worse
He had twenty hours warning and did nothing

There are 4 threads on the firstpage of this group all attacking FDR.

Why is that ?

In school we were taught that he saved the US from the depression by using public money to stimulate the economy.

Why does he rate such bile ?

As you know, as you have done this rant before, it's because he extended the Great Depression by SEVEN YEARS.

The great depression was from extreme capitalism, and the greed at the top.The Great Depression [ushistory.org]

Yes apart from all those jumping to their death, we should of left the rest die from starvation and disease.

"extreme capitalism" ..... is that a thing ? who is "we"
in your sentence? the roman catholic church??? ---who
is "the rest" ?

That seems to be a stretch. Particularly as the article notes the warning wass given 3 days before the attack and also included all of the west coast amongst other possible targets.

On that bass you could blame Bush for the 9/11 attacks.
Not quite

He also made the US Socialist during WWII

He seized control over all manufacturing and controlled what you could produce, what supplies and raw material you could buy and who could work for you

He was a socialist from the start!!
Going beyod what you mentioned, He went against the will of the American people by getting us involved in the war in Europe.
Sided with Stalin
Rationed Gas
and you people complain about Trump!

The people overwhelmingly supported going to war
Chose Stalin over Hitler....wise move

Rationed gas? Are you crazy?
Of course he rationed gas as well as other critical war supplies

he even rationed sugar--------WAR!!!!

The far right and Alt Right wish to revise American history so that they can pilfer America's riches.
I am fine with American history. ...

It's looney liberals like you who want bury American history and rewrite it to further your socialist agenda. ...
Great Depression began in 1929, almost 90 years ago. FDR was elected in 1932 and became President on March 4, 1933, 85 years ago. During that time thousands of historians and writers have written endless books, articles, and thesis and been published giving FDR credit for ending the Great Depression and winning WWII. Also during the period, American voters elected him four times to lead the nation in peace and war.
Someone is attempting to rewrite history. The movement began in the 90's when Conservatives were scared about Clinton copying some of FDR's New Deal type programs and allowing socialist programs to resolve American societal problems. Basically, there has been a demonization effort ever since, and a rewriting of history.
I thought that might be the answer. Its a shame when partisanship leads to the denigration of a great man. Thank you.

There was no secret about the possibility of an attack on Pearl Harbor by the Japanese. "Advanced Operations in Micronesia" was issued by the USMC on 23 July 1921 under General Lejeune. General Billy Michell also gave many warnings, including during Congressional testimony. Add to these two best selling books by Hector Charles Bywater, "Sea Power in the Pacific" and "Great Pacific War".
The question was nor if the Japanese would attack, it was when.

Does a "great man" throw innocent Americans into concentration camps, repeatedly violate his wedding vows, send a ship load of Jews to almost certain death at the hands of the Nazis, oversee a program of infecting black Americans with disease to study the effects, undermine the US Constitution and the system of checks and balances that maintains our system of government? Does a "great man" pursue unfettered power with an avarice not seen by any US President before or since?

No Japanese citizens attacked us during the war

Thanks FDR

Let's throw your ass in prison for a few years. I am sure you will not attack America while you are there.

Go study logic - even if just a little - before making more of an ass of yourself.

Roosevelt also abandoned American soldiers that were being held in German prison camps that had been liberated by Soviet troops. An estimated 20,000+ U.S. military personal were shipped to Siberia and used as slave labor.

Roosevelt never demanded their return, and their names and fate still remain classified today. ...

Your post is full of biased exaggeration and misinformation. The boatload of Jews you guys rant about was returned to Great Britain. Most were allowed to remain there. Some were deported, but that was on GB, not the USA.
FDR did not "oversee" the program of infecting black men with a disease, he was President so he deserves blame, but claiming he oversaw the program or had any direct involvement or even knowledge of it is a gross exaggeration, perhaps even a lie.
