She probably had the impeachment papers drawn up weeks before it even happened.

And she won't answer why even if reporters were to ask her, because the whole thing was a setup to impeach Trump. Again.

Another epic fail by the Democrats with no accountability from the media.

Actually, it was the mayor's responsibility, but you know she's in cahoots with Pelosi and the house Democrats.

Impeach the rotten lying bitch.

Capitol Police chief, sergeant-at-arms acknowledge failure to protect against Jan. 6 riot

Acting Capitol Police Chief Yogananda D. Pittman on Tuesday apologized to Congress and acknowledged her department’s failure to adequately act on intelligence before a violent mob of pro-Trump insurrectionists stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Pittman, who took over the force when former Chief Steven Sund resigned on Jan. 8, said in a statement to the House Appropriations Committee that the Capitol Police knew by Jan. 4 that the event would pose a security threat unlike any protests in 2020.
“We knew that militia groups and white supremacists organizations would be attending,” Pittman said in her prepared statement. “We also knew that some of these participants were intending to bring firearms and other weapons to the event. We knew that there was a strong potential for violence and that Congress was the target.”
Appropriators who fund the Capitol Police are now asking why the intelligence that Pittman cited was not used to better protect the Capitol on the day of the riot.
“But the real question is, you know, why was that intelligence not acted upon? So now we know they had it. We know they apologized, but we want to know why it wasn’t acted upon,” Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio, who chairs the Legislative Branch Appropriations Subcommittee, said during a news conference.

“We want to know why the board that oversees the Capitol Police did not act upon that, did not want to allow for an increased number of support from the National Guard or whomever.”
Pittman said on Jan. 4 that Sund asked the Capitol Police Board, which comprises the House and Senate sergeants-at-arms and the Architect of the Capitol, to declare a state of emergency and authorize a request for National Guard support, but the board denied the request. As a result of the security failure, House Sergeant-at-Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Michael Stenger resigned. Architect of the Capitol J. Brett Blanton is the only member of the three-member Capitol Police Board who has not resigned.

Steven A. Sund is an American police officer who served as the tenth chief of the United States Capitol Police. Sund was chief during the storming of the U.S. Capitol. Following the attack, he announced that he would resign, effective January 16, 2021.

Sund was chief when, on January 6, 2021, rioters stormed the U.S. Capitol building while Congress was counting the electoral votes of the 2020 presidential election. Rioters were able to reach the chambers of the Senate and the House of Representatives, marking the first time since 1814 that the Capitol building had been breached.[4] Five people died during the ensuing riot, including a Capitol Police officer who died the following day from injuries sustained during the riot.[5] Two additional police officers who were at the riots later committed suicide: US Capitol police officer Howard Charles Liebengood (the son of Howard Scholer Liebengood), and Metropolitan police officer Jeffery Smith.

In the immediate aftermath of the riot, Sund issued a statement defending his department's response.[6] Sund said “USCP officers and our law enforcement partners responded valiantly when faced with thousands of individuals involved in violent riotous actions as they stormed the United States Capitol Building." [3]

Capitol Police received a major backlash after video emerged of what looked like some officers allowing rioters into the Capitol, and another officer filmed taking a selfie with rioters.[7][8][9][10] The following day, Sund and the Capitol Police came under criticism from multiple Democrat House members of the U.S. House of Representatives; Ryan, Lofgren and Waters were particularly vocal in their condemnation of the police response to the riot. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called for Sund's resignation, stating that Sund hadn’t contacted her since the event.[11][6] Sund submitted his resignation that afternoon, which was effective on January 16, 2021.[12] An aide to speaker Pelosi later clarified that Pelosi had indeed spoken with Sund on the evening of January 6, but not after that time.[13] CNN obtained a copy of a letter [14] Sund sent to Pelosi on February 1, 2021 detailing the events leading up to and including January 6. This was hailed as the first detailed account of that day.[15] Sund provided a timeline for the aid he sought from local law enforcement agencies and National Guard units, and an accounting of the meetings he had after the perimeter had been breached while he sought assistance.[16]

The National Guard could have been there in a heartbeat on her command.
They knew the riot was coming --DJT did not.

Protecting the Capitol was her sole responsibility, not Donald Trump's, kids. Learn it. Live it. Breathe it. It was a set-up from the start....she probably had the impeachment papers drawn up weeks before.

The Sergeant at Arms and Doorkeeper, elected by the members, serves as the protocol and chief law enforcement officer and is the principal administrative manager for most support services in the United States Senate.

When the first Congress convened in 1789, the Office of Doorkeeper was established to address the single-most-pressing problem confronting the Senate at its birth—its inability to keep a majority of members in the Capitol long enough to organize and begin the business of government.

A doorkeeper was also necessary to control access to the Senate sessions, which were private for the first six years. Later, when the sessions were open to the public, the doorkeeper was responsible for maintaining order on the floor of the Senate and in the galleries. The title of Sergeant at Arms was added in 1798 to reflect the expanded administrative duties of the position.

The protocol responsibilities include escorting the president and other heads of state or official guests of the Senate who are attending official functions in the Capitol; making arrangements for funerals of senators who die in office; assisting in plans for the inauguration of the president and organizing the swearing-in and orientation programs for newly elected senators.

So we have a sergeant at arms elected there by a Senate majority leader of Mitch McConnell and the Republicans and you want to blame the speaker of the House of Representatives who have nothing to do with security in Congress, I am afraid all the House does is get da money to pay them.

The Speaker of the House doesn't do the National Guard yet the governors, Secretary of the Army, the President and Vice president do. Pelosi doesn't do the security of Congress the Senate sergeant at arms does...

It was actually Nancy's sister from another mister....mayor Muriel Bowser's call.

Actually the mayor's responsibilities but you know he's in cahoots with Pelosi and the house Democrats.

What exactly was it, she is supposed to have had the authority to do? Can't find anything in the constitution giving her powers of that nature. Maybe you can provide a link to some power, I am unaware of?
