First of all Hoover wasn't that honest or clean. He kept files on every politician for the sole purpose of maintaining his power.
To Freewill: I hold a different opinion of Hoover for a number of reasons.
First, whatever Hoover did to the scum in government benefitted the American people.
Secondly,

Creating the Department of Homeland Security, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, eliminated the possibility of another Hoover keeping Democrat traitors in line. That, in turn, diminished the CIA’s ability to defend this country in foreign lands whenever the CIA sets operations in motion to protect the country might interfere with Democrat foreign policies. Put it this way. If Democrats had control during the Cold War everyone would be speaking Russian today.

How else would a homosexual stay in his position in a time when homosexuals were fairly ostracized.
To Freewill: The Left claimed Hoover was a cross-dresser after he died. They did not have the courage to say it when he was living.
There was never any proof of Hoover’s homosexuality, nor is there evidence of Hoover using the FBI to advance special Rights for the gay community over the Rights of heterosexual Americans.
Incidentally, take a quick look at how far the homosexual agenda has come in just the past 8 years. Start with witnesses:
Immunity is usually given not to protect someone but to force a person to testify. With immunity the fifth amendment no longer has the force it does without immunity.
To Freewill: True enough in the past. Today, immunity is used to reward foot soldiers for keeping their mouths shut rather than help the FBI scoop up a big shot.
What Comey did was a travesty of justice. 10 minutes he tells us why she was guilty then says "so what" because she didn't have intent, intent not written into law. Then he tells us that Hillary lied to Congress. What happened with that bit of information? Nothing.
To Freewill: I cannot argue with that except to say that Comey had a lot of company in the DoJ and in Congress.
The establishment protects their own and Hillary personifies the establishment.
To Freewill: The dangerous part is that the protection includes maggots on the lowest level when they lack the wealth to beat the rap like the Clintons. Note that private sector AMERICANS who cannot afford high-priced lawyers still end up in jail.
I think that when Trump wins the first thing he should do is not go after Hillary but he should fire Comey.
To Freewill: I agree. Unfortunately, Department of Justice corruption has become so deeply entrenched it only takes a few Democrats in Congress to derail Hillary’s prosecution.
But then again Comey may have some photos of Trump that Trump doesn't want out, just like in the Hoover days.
To Freewill: I do not think so. If he had them either he or Loretta Lynch would have "leaked" them before now.
Finally:
I will close with a few words about J. Edgar Hoover (1895 - 1972) and Joseph McCarthy (1908 - 1957). Two men Democrats hate more than they hate Richard Nixon. Here is what they have in common that causes so much hatred among liberals:
1. Both man stood up to the federal government from within. Hoover’s never-found files on Democrats kept the worst of them in line for decades. Hoover’s death gave Democrats the green light that eventually punished the country with the Clintons and Taqiyya the Liar. (Imagine the field day Hoover would have had with the Clintons and the Chicago sewer rat.)
McCarthy went after Communists infiltrating government bureaucracies including the US Army. Senator McCarthy’s only mistake was not understanding the difference between hardcore Communists and “Americans” betraying their country for global government administered by the United Nations. The tragedy is that both end in the same place.

2. Neither Hoover or McCarthy ever did or said anything to harm the American people. Not one contemporary Democrat can make that claim.
