The FBI was concerned about trump secretly working with Russia. The incident that so concerned the FBI was when trump fired Comey and told the world it was because of the Russia investigation.

giuliani says he has not heard anything about it so that proves the FBI didn't find anything. Which I don't know if that's good for trump and giuliani to do. Assuming things doesn't always work out well.

I have no memory of our FBI having to investigate a president because they were concerned he was working with russia. I don't believe trump is working for America. In fact I believe he's been trying to make russia great again. Not America.

I also have never seen an American president stand before the world and TV cameras to say he doesn't believe our intelligence agencies but does believe putin.

The two FBI guys that started the investigation were McCabe and Strzok, as supported by the conflicted deep state DOJ hack Rosenstein. It was simple payback for having the gall to fire Comey and oppose the deep state, and their abuse of FISA warrants. The fact that the FBI first tried to defeat Trump by spying on his campaign, and then after Trump won, the FBI and DOJ tried to have a coup to oust Trump by allowing (also conflicted) Mueller to investigate ruthlessly (as says Dershowitz) by disregarding attorney-client privilege.

The investigation was probably rolled into Mueller's investigation, and is the reason Mueller is being so meticulous. You can't claim the president is working for another country without unquestionable proof.

That preliminary investigation may very well have been folded into the subsequent, present effort.

We'll know more once Special Counsel Robert Mueller releases his findings.

He'll do that when The Investigation has accomplished its mission, and not before.

TrumpBots amuse me, when they try (and fail) to convince folks that it's a NothingBurger, simply because of how long it's taking.

They might very well be right.

Then again...

They might very well be wrong.

When you're dealing with secretive Robber Barons like the Medicis Drumpfs and their collaborators, it takes a while to penetrate the fog.

And, of course, exploring each rabbit hole to its uttermost depth, and documenting and nailing down the evidence, takes time.

After all... if your published findings and recommendations are going to trigger a Constitutional Crisis, you want to get it right, the first time.

Mueller keeps plodding along... slow... thorough... inexorable... committed to the Republic and the Rule of Law.

I agree. I especially didn't like the private meeting with Putin at Helsinki. However, talking to Russians is not collusion. Negotiating hotels with Russians is not collusion. If after two years and $50m the Mueller team of Hillary supporters can't find/prove anything substantial/impeachable, then the investigation was a politically motivated deep state coup attempt.
