The fact remains that according to Chris Wray (FBI Director) the FBI took direction from the White House as to who to talk to and what to ask.

The "investigation" into the claims of rape were never investigated by them in any real way because of White House involvement.

The White House didn't interfere with any investigation. As Wray testified, it's the FBI that asks the White House what they want done.

It was Republican Senators Collins and Flake that refused to vote for him, without a second investigation by the FBI on the accusations....

And Republican Senator Grassley who set it up, with the President controlling the FBI investigators.....

Only the Republicans left out telling the American people that it was the President in control of the FBI investigation and whether one was done.

It was a very slimey, fake and deceitful move, by republicans and Trump to get this lifetime appointment thru.....

That's one of the reasons why the whole thing was asked to be vetted by the FBI.... people could have been lying, including kavanaugh and ford.

she knew the general vicinity of the house the party was in, she described the exact layout of the house, where the living room, hallway stairs, upstairs bathroom and bedroom position of the house.and

she knew the general time of summer it took place, and day of the week.

AND when Kavanaugh ended up showing us his school calendars after she had given us that information, and low and behold....right there on his calendar is a note reminding him of a party his friend was having, IN THE EXACT SAME neighborhood she said it took place at.... near the country club pool she worked at, and the same month she claimed it happened.....

They same one she couldn't remember when it happened?

I guess you would prefer that the FBI be completely independent from the executive branch so they can be fair and unbiased as they were when investigating Clinton's private email server for classified information and Trump's "collusion with Russia?"

All I wanted was straightforwardness.... Not purposefully trickery by the Republicans deceiving the citizenry about an investigation they said and promised they would do, that never took place....

And they knew when they told us Americans and the two Republican Senators requesting the investigation, that the investigation in to it, would really not take place,

and knew all along....they were going to deceive us Americans in to believing they did one, and that Kavanaugh came out smelling like Roses, according to the FBI investigation...which we NOW know, was never investigated.

I realize, POLITICS is about the scuzziest thing out there....and crud like this happens...

None the less, what's wrong, is wrong.... and I'm gonna call it like it is....and not sit by silently and in a paralyzed numbness to it all!

Be careful what you say about White House Counsel. That's Pat Cipollone, who the Jan 6th committee is counting on the verify Cassidy's story. If you discredit him now, you'll have to sit out any gloating if he does.

Bottom line, as SeaMajor7 said above, is that the accusations are aburd, and patently false on their face. If someone tells the FBI that Kavanaugh raped them that time they were on the moon together, is the FBI required to investigate that or can they just shake their heads and laugh?

They never interviewed anyone of importance....not even Kavanaugh and Ford, who should have been first, so they would know where to begin their investigation....and other interviews....

But instead the whole investigation was done and over with by the FBI in two days..... I remember being shocked that it was done and over with, so quickly and posted that the investigation appeared to be a sham..... It took a few years....but now, everyone knows the truth....and no one cares much....the years later... Including me...... But it still needs to be pointed out that the Republicans lied and purposely set out to deceive, all of us, with their phoney investigation.

The FBI wanted nothing to do with this case because it was not in their purview. The FBI investigates federal situations and crimes. They are not there to look for stolen diaries, try to get warrants on political enemies of the Democrat party, and not to chase phony 30 year old attempted rape cases. They are not paid to be Democrat operatives. But the left thinks that's what the FBI is, so Trump told them to check out these BS claims just to make them happy.

The very idea that Trump allowed this to happen is more than what they should have gotten, and they're still complaining. The FBI could have spent ten years on this, and if the Democrats didn't get what they wanted, they'd still be crying foul, just like after the Mueller investigation.

If any woman went to a local prosecutor and asked them to check out an attempted rape on them in a house they couldn't tell them, on a street they couldn't provide a name of, with witnesses that said it never took place, the prosecutor wouldn't waste five minutes on it, especially when it supposedly happened 30 years ago. He or she would probably suggest the complainant go home and take a nice long nap, especially when the complainant was caught lying several times.
