I'll give you this, I just love growing stuff. There is real joy in starting plants from seed, seeing them come up, grow lush and healthy and bear fruit and flowers.

Fresh grown carrots are better than candy, to die for.

It all depends on the type soil. Obviously, that was a very rich loam full of organics. If the drainage is there too, not too much clay, you've got gold.
