Facebook Changes Content Moderation Rules

Misinformation is subjective. Jason point, the Hunter laptop story was labeled misinformation and it clearly wasn't.
People were suspicious it was misinformation, and it wasn’t entirely clear that it wasn’t.

Misinformation shouldn’t be subjective. Case in point, people on social media claimed Russia didn’t hack the DNC and that it was Seth Rich who was murdered to hide this.

So Meta said it would stop using fact checkers and instead rely on Facebook and Instagram users to add notes or corrections to posts. This move is clearly to please the Trump administration.

Enjoy Pravda folks.

Misinformation won the day
As well it should
It’s up to each and every adult who can think to sift and decide for their self what is true or false. You obviously need help in this area . Thinkers don’t

The Zuck went from shutting down the fat slob's account to kissing the ring in just 4 years.

It doesn't take a genius to figure out why.

What do you know. Facebook is changing to be more like X. They also admit, again, that they were political pressured in the past (4 years) to restrict content. They are also moving the content moderation dept. from CA to Texas to escape politicization.

Meta’s newly appointed Chief of Global Affairs Joel Kaplan told Fox on Tuesday that Meta’s partnerships with third-party fact checkers were “well intentioned at the outset but there’s just been too much political bias in what they choose to fact check and how.”
Kaplan said that there’s “no question that there has been a change over the last four years. We saw a lot of societal and political pressure, all in the direction of more content, moderation more censorship, and we’ve got a real opportunity. Now we’ve got a new administration, and a new president coming in who are big defenders of free expression, and that makes a difference.

A CNN link to make lefties happy.

That pressure was nothing compared to the way Trump just leaned on him.
