"Experts" say Coke "shouldn't be sold"

Hey bring back the good ol days when there was cocaine in Coke. Maybe it would help people to calm down.
/----/ My grandfather, who died in 1966, called them "dopes" and refused to have them in his home. We told him they took the cocaine out decades ago, but he didn't care. He drank RC Cola.

Theres lots of jobs out there. And i also know it will never happen. Im good with it as im smarter than to consume those things with the exception of a foreign bert now and then. The grains here in america have roundup in them. Thats a whole other can of worms.
That's 8,774,000 jobs you just eliminated, plus the ripple effects (and there will be plenty.) The national workforce is 164,000,000 people roughly. Congratulations, you just jumped up the unemployment rate by about 5%.

You are digging yourself a deeper hole with this asinine argument.

OK. No soda, no fast food, no alcohol.

Fast food industry: 4,900,000 workers
Beer industry: 2,400,000 workers
Wine industry: 927,000 workers
Bar/tavern industry: 478,000 workers
Soda industry: 69,000 workers

You just put a lot of people out of work.
Or...some of those millions of people could start working in better restaurants, making healthier food from fresh ingredients. Some could start brewing their own craft beer that tastes like beer, not dog piss.

Makes me think of the late great Mickey Mantle who once said that if he knew that he was gonna live “this” long, he would have taken better care of himself.
Mickey Mantle, long an alcoholic, was confronted by a woman who complained " you should not drink. The children have made you a hero." To which Mantle said " I'm no hero, I'm just a ball player"

That’s true. Not relevant nor on topic. But Mick was still spot on.

Was anyone under the impression that coke is good for you?

Bang. These guys - all of them from Mantle to Lebron to Sequan Barkley to the 53rd man on a random NFL team are ENTERTAINERS. Period.

There was a time most people were much more responsible in what they ate and drank with limits. Coke and other sodas came in 6- and 1/2-ounce bottles. Then 12-ounce containers, 16-ounce containers, and upward.
