Even if IS and Al Qaeda are defeated, the conditions that brought them into existence won't go away.
For ages now we have supported pretty much every tyrant or king, and/or propped them up with our military bases. But that doesn't stop popular uprisings i.e. like the 'arab spring' or the Iranian Revolution.
We have done such a great job in getting millions of Arab Muslims to hate America, yet keep pumping money into regimes that either oppress them or swindle them through corrupt practices i.e. like with Mubrarak in Egypt.
Till we stop meddling, there is just going to be an ISIS or Al Qaeda like group one after another. As the Middle East will be unable to settle into a status quo so long as we artificially prop up the place, and go to war constantly to keep the artificial status quo in place.
