Eva Bartlett: Human Rights and Justice in Gaza

Precisely, that is why answering your questions is futile.

Oh please. The question is clear enough. The fact that you don't want to answer it is because you run straight up against having to decide whether it is better for the Palestinians to govern themselves or better for the Palestinians to be governed by Israel. And the one has a clear answer and the other sticks in your craw due to your anti-Israel bias.

You just want to keep blaming Israel for all of Gaza's problems so the Gazan people don't have to do take responsibility for themselves.
You are too far off into Israeli propagandaland to understand any answer I can give.

It is you that is living in islamonazi propaganda land, just look at the stupid pallywood productions you rely on

maybe UN should intervene in Gaza but they clearly don't want to.... :(

Intervene how, exactly, in Gaza? What would they do there?
Send in a UN peace force to keep safe Israelis from terrorism and Palestinians from IDF attacks
Employed on both sides of the fence, of course.

Of course but both sides facing into palestine
There is no border there. Which direction would that be?

There really is no reason to believe that member nations of the UN are going to allow their militaries to become a police force in charge of suppressing the various Islamic terrorists groups subordinate to Hamas and Fatah.

Oh please. I am one of the more reasonable people on this board. Try me. What's the worst that could happen?
I hate to have to post another video, but...

Now what was your question?

I skimmed the video. And she has no solution. She says that Hamas is an ineffective government, the PA has no authority and that it would be unthinkable for Israel to re-occupy Gaza.

SO who do you think should step up and be responsible for the Gazan people and provide for their safety and health?

There is no border there. Which direction would that be?

In all practical ways there is a very clear border between Gaza and Israel. Only a treaty will create a formal border. So what?

IOW, there is no border. The only so called border is the 1949 armistice line between Israeli and Egyptian forces. For whatever that is worth.

2. The Armistice Demarcation Line is not to be construed in any sense as a political or territorial boundary,

Israel broke it, Israel needs to fix it.

The green line will do as a border in this case so the troops would face towards Palestine

You forget the peace treaties with Jordan and Egypt that set the borders, and the 1967 ceasefire line that is the last legal demarcation line. It is not a border, but it is a demarcation line on one side being Israel on the other whatever name they are calling themselves today.

No Israel did what they had to do under international law, so hamas need to fix it and then get out of town.

Here's a thought, tinny. Begin in Gaza'istan and march eastward on your own personal gee-had. Let us know what nonexistent border you run in to.

Yeah, probably run into some assholes who don't know that there is no border there.

Actually, the israelis know with certainty where the border is. It's where islamo-fascism ends and the relevant first world begins.

Israel broke it, Israel needs to fix it.

So, the government of Gaza has absolutely no responsibility for managing the health and safety of its own people? That seems to me to indicate that you believe Israel is obligated to exert full control over Gaza and re-occupy it to ensure the safety and health of the Gazan people. Yes or no?

Stupid question. You need to read up.

And stay away from that Israeli propaganda crap.

Tinman, I would put my knowledge and research on the line against yours any day of the week.

I am asking you for your personal opinion and to reveal your moral compass. It has nothing at all to do with research. WHO has the responsibility for the health and safety of the Gazan people? Who has the ability to put that responsibility into practice?

You don't want to answer. You shy away from answering every time I ask something difficult. I keep asking because I think you can do better.

Let's start here.

There are rules to occupation that place responsibilities and restrictions on the occupying power. One of these responsibilities is to protect the safety and health of the occupied population. A restriction is to not destroy property. Israel violates virtually all of the rules of occupation.
