My thinking is that most White society from Europe had to work hard building and organizing simply to survive . They had to adapt and learn to survive in cold weather . Food gathering and cold weather living were equal in importance to their existence . When they learned that and then learned farming they freed themselves up for other things . ----------- its after those 3 things that free time allowed them to explore and colonize .
