Is Zelenskyy counting on more help from Europe than he will ultimately get? And will Europe accept his all-or-nothing approach? Or well they also insist on diplomacy during a cease-fire, which Zelenskyy rejected from the U.S? Will he accept it if Europe proposes it?

If the absolute minimum that Zelenskyy is willing to take is a humiliating total defeat for Russia, and full NATO membership for his country, will European leaders go along with that? You are not used to make a difference between Germans and Nazis on reason of your own, of course, totally normal US-American racism. That's your problem now. The German army was an army as is your army. But the SS not had been under control of the regular German army. It had only been under control of the political party NSDAP - more concrete: It had been together with all policemen of Germany under control of Heinrich Himmler. But the NSDAP also controlled the state. And in case of the SS an SS commander was also able to give orders to a member of the regular German army but a commander of the regular German army was not able to give an order to a member of the SS.

Exactly. Someone from the SS who did not like to work in a concentration camp had not to do so. You underestimate the absurdity of this 12 years. As a birthday gift to Hitler, for example, an entire class of Alsatians was conscripted into the SS instead of the regular German army. This doesn't mean this SS-soldiers had been Nazis.
