Once Europe decides to reign in Russia they'll succeed in doing that.
But it will take at least 7-15 years.
Money has to flow from Parliaments to weapon factories and towards the battlefield.
In the meantime Russia can cause lots of hostile troubles.

If that path is taken it will be not only the end for Russian aspirations in Europe, but also American influence in Europe.

Zelenskyy is taking a "my way or the highway" approach to the United States' help in the war. Not hard to guess which choice Trump will make under an ultimatum like that. So, for this thread, let's assume that Trump ends up withdrawing all help to Ukraine.

Is Zelenskyy counting on more help from Europe than he will ultimately get? And will Europe accept his all-or-nothing approach? Or well they also insist on diplomacy during a cease-fire, which Zelenskyy rejected from the U.S? Will he accept it if Europe proposes it?

If the absolute minimum that Zelenskyy is willing to take is a humiliating total defeat for Russia, and full NATO membership for his country, will European leaders go along with that? It's what we the United States gave western Europe after they were attacked by Nazi Germany, not only a humiliating defeat, but near destruction of the aggressor. But . . . it took a total war to get to that.
