The AIM-120 entered service in 1991. The F-14 was not retired until 2006.

And throwing back, while the AIM-120 was indeed modified and certified to be used on the Tomcat, the Tomcats were retired when that modification was to enter service. And I just looked again, the information I was using as a source was dated to 2004. So it was accurate, but as the F-14 was about to be retired it was technically obsolete within a year.
