Which is preferable?

This is the fight between the Left and those who favor freedom. Freedom allows for inequality, while those who purport to favor equality know that it will never be fully achieved, nor can be. The Left will simply say they need more and more power to make things "equal", all the while living in the lap of luxury themselves.

Meanwhile, the Left will see to it that you never have the choice to choose bad for yourself or society. They will see to it that you behave regarding every aspect of your financial dealings with the full force of the law behind them. And they will decide what is fair for you to have.

Which do you choose?

A other name for equality is dysgenics. It's not preferable. It produces shitholes like Venezuela.

Freedom is preferable and tends to produce good societies.

We should have govt equality and freedom.
Social equality can only be forced. Which, obviously, isnt govt equality.

I agree, we should choose freedom over equality. End the electoral college and change the Senate to be representative of population. Evening the field to make small states and a minority of the population feel equal is anti-freedom.

We've got more freedom than we know how to handle. Equality is an ideal we shouldn't chuck in the trash, either.
I don't know why it needs to be an either/or proposition, though.

Your demands for economic equality ends where my pocketbook begins.

Should conservative states want to secede from the Union every time a Dim President is elected or should a liberal state like California want to secede from the Union every time a Pube is elected?

Why not let states have the freedom to decide things like health care and abortion instead of forcing it down everyone's throats so that they can all be "equal"?

What is "equality"?

How is this achieved?

I'd choose freedom. Equality is socialism and even though the constitution says "All men are created equal", anyone has the freedom to make themselves better than everyone else.

True equality is the govt doing nothing about it. We should strive for freedom AND equality :D

I agree with that.
We have so much freedom we have bedwetters protesting the govt to take rights away.

Do it. I would love for blue states to keep their tax money instead of sending it to red states. Do away with your labor laws and you can be our cheap labor to replaces illegals. It’s a win win situation.

Equality of opportunity, inequality of outcome.

That's how capitalism and life should work. You don't want to be like Canada, an oppressive shytehole that despised High Performers.

I choose the chaos of individual freedom envisioned by our Founders some 242 years ago. No identity politics. No collectivism, no equality of outcome, no classless society, no hit squads, no political officers, no mass relocations, no gulag nights, no Reds lies. Give me a job. I'll earn a paycheck. I'll take responsibility for myself and family. I'll serve my government and country. I'll buy property, sell property finance a vacuum cleaner then hop in my depreciating pickup and drive from MD to CA, and back without showing my papers. And I'll leave this window in into our chaotic reality to defend what Red Left is after.

I don't want your filthy wallet, Flash. God knows what's on it.
There are people willing to share for the good of the society, and there are those who horde what's theirs and say mine mine mine.
That's not going to change, but hopefully the people willing to share are in the ascendancy.

With rights come responsibilities. If people are too stupid to get that, the government has to learn 'em.

LOL right? Whats good about freedom when .00001% of the population has the power to take them away

If you really believe it then stop being a greedy Liberal and advocating that the filthy ass government take my money by force and give it to the welfare queens because that is exactly what socialism is all about.

Socialism is greedy shitheads using the government to steal what they are unwilling to provide for themselves. When you use the government to steal money from somebody then you are depriving them of Liberty. It is slavery.

That is what Socialist assholes are all about. Institutionalized government sponsored thievery.

Really?

The government passes about 40,000 new regulations and laws every year, and with each one liberty wanes.
