If you haven't been paying attention, young girls and women, and young boys in America are beginning to disappear without a trace. There is a pipeline now in America that follows the same pipeline of Heroin, Cocaine, Crack, Meth and Phentanyl in to The United States back in to Mexico.

Latin America is awash with underground brothels, and you are lucky if someone you love ends up there. It is far worse and far harder to ever recover your loved one if they make it all the way to The Middle East. Chances are they will die in a brothel, be tortured and have to endure being sexually assaulted 50 times a day.

It used to be kidnapping was primarily to obtain a ransom, but now the cartels and the gangs that work for the have realized that they can make far more money and have far less hassle getting a child, young woman or boy addicted to heroin and working them in an underground brothel or selling them as a sex slave or domestic slave to The Middle East.

If you know a young boy, young girl, or young mother who is missing, there is a good chance that they are living a nightmare, and the trail is growing cold and fast as they are being hopped skipped and jumped across the country until they wind up in Latin America or The Middle East.

One such article which I posted after this, gives you an idea of the scope of the issue of which we are just beginning to scratch the surface on. This means that 55% of Mexico's Prostitutes come from outside Mexico. Almost all of them are abducted and forced in to sex slavery. And The US is increasingly becoming a target for traffickers.

Mexico: the Latin American Thailand
Mexico is going through the most violent era of its modern history, with the highest homicide rate ever in 2017 (over 31,000) and 2018 likely to be worse. The same criminal organisations involved in much of this violence also capture around 21,000 minors per year for sexual exploitation, with 45 per cent being indigenous girls.

Sex trafficking and sexual exploitation are collateral damage of Mexico's neoliberal fantasy | LSE Latin America and Caribbean

An epidemic of sexual trafficking and exploitation of women and children has turned Mexico into the “Latin American Thailand”. Incoming president Andrés Manuel López Obrador promises to tackle the corruption and impunity enabling these practices, but there is less recognition of their links to a neoliberal fantasy that was once presented as lifeline for poor communities, writes María Encarnación López (London Metropolitan University).

After the illicit trade in drugs and weapons, sex trafficking is the third most profitable industry in the world. After drug trafficking, it is also the second most lucrative industry in Mexico, which has become the highest-ranked country in the Americas in terms of female trafficking for sexual exploitation, as well as the world’s main propagator of child pornography online.

Paedophiles of all nationalities travel to major tourist cities, drawn by a vast array of websites distributing pictures and videos of sexually exploited Mexican children. The extent of this business, endorsed by cartels and corrupt institutions, has seen Mexico dubbed the “Latin American Thailand”.

While the security agenda of President-elect Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) does target the institutional corruption and impunity that enable crime in Mexico, there is little recognition that poverty and structural violence continue to push thousands of defenceless women and children into the global business of human trafficking for sexual exploitation.

Sex trafficking: collateral damage of a neoliberal fantasy
The idea of neoliberalism as a source of human wellbeing collapses in places where inequality is widening severely in the economic and social spheres alike. Thousands of Mexicans have also been forced to migrate north following the false dawn of the neoliberal economic model that was “locked in” by the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994. The young women often trafficked into the US through false job offers tend to come from those groups that lost the most in this model.

Its here. Mostly poor kids that need to trust their benefactors, and end up on one-way trips somewhere. Any traffiking rings that are found need to be destroyed. Parents need to really protect their kids from these animals.

Current data from Polaris, an nonprofit that operates the National Human Trafficking Hotline, shows that nearly 1 in 11 calls to the hotline are from Texas – a frequency second only to calls from California.

Thanks but I don't see how this is a political issue regarding either party or somehow "caused" by neoliberalism.
How is this NOT a Political Issue? Because you would rather IGNORE IT? It is one of the side effects of weak Immigration law and failure to secure the border.

Your party's resistance to securing the border is putting America's Children at risk, and is doing so just to advance the agenda Neoliberalism, and your open borders stance.

You fail to see how this is has escalated in to an epidemic. What's worse, your sweet little neighbor girl is no longer standing on the corner on the seedy side of your city where she has a chance for someone to reach her or rescue her. She is being kidnapped, transported to Latin America or The Middle East and sold in to slavery where you will never see her again. That is a NEW Problem that we haven't had to deal with until recently.

I pretty much figured that The Radical Left would avoid this discussion like the plague. You can't argue with facts...

It is a political issue. This seems to be a blatant attempt to tie child sex traffickers to Mexico even though NONE of the cases you have linked to and NONE of the investigations involve children being trafficked into Mexico.

Yet another racist attempt by Russian trolls to demonize immigrants.
