Then consider that there are so few such vehicles out there compared to regular cars and such that even if you make them 100% green, it'll make absolutely NO DIFFERENCE to the planet at large!

Then consider that for every stranglehold Biden's EPA puts on you, the Chinese are countering it with 10X worse in the other direction profiting from abundant cheap energy!

Its near impossible. Contractors cut corners and fuel is the highest cost. So in many cases They'll use higher Sulfur content diesel that violate EPA law.
But that's okay because the EPA can poison rivers in Colorado poisoning people down river and get raises and higher positions in govt.

What does the history of America have to do with the OP seemingly thinking pollution is a good thing?

Nobody thinks polluting is a good thing, but expecting trucks to run that fuel efficient by a certain date would be like if they told Henry Ford he couldn't manufacture or sell his cars without fuel injection. Everything comes at it's time, and if you try to force the issue, it brings on unnecessary costs. The last time the EPA laid new laws on us, truckers quit buying new trucks because their old trucks didn't have to meet their new standards. That hurt the truck manufacturing industry.

As I explained in my first post, trucks were down all the time because of these new standards. It costs companies tens of thousands of dollars to get these things repaired not to mention the rental trucks they have to pay for while the company truck is down. All that eventually gets passed down to the consumer.

Why was diesel always a little over 1/2 the price of gas for over a century and now it's more? People should bitch about things like that. It affects us all bigly. Pretty sure Bush did that.

As a prelude to my real search, look at this:

It was indeed a Bush EPA policy. They forced new lower sulfur diesel fuel on the industry and that caused prices to double. Prior to that diesel was always way under the price of gasoline. The day the EPA forced fuel producers into this low sulfur shit, prices doubled that of gasoline. But it didn't stop there. All new trucks sold had to have a DEF compartment. DEF is Diesel Emission Fluid. it's a chemical that squirts in your exhaust system to supposedly make it burn cleaner. Then they forced them to make all trucks certifed "clean idle."

All this cost a lot of money. But were the envirokooks happy enough to shut up? No. Now they're complaining after all theses trillions of dollars to prevent climate change, they only want more. And after they get more, they will want more again until this country is completely broke over all this global warming bullshit. It's a bottomless money pit.

Correct and the clean air act didn't authorize the EPA to regulate CO2 for climate change. That would have required Congress to pass a Climate Act and for a president to sign it into law. Something Obama could have easily done. Making an end run around the constitution like some administrations did is no less unconstitutional than what Trump did to remain in office.
