Okay I have heard over the years here in this section the most ignorant comments from posters that all of Oaklands sports teams have left Oakland because it is a dump, its a crime ridden city, blah blah blah. one thread not long ago was claiming that was why the warriors left because Oakland is a dump.problem with that babble is San Francisco is everybit as much a dump as oakland is. EVERYTIME a team locates it is because the CITY refuses to fund these greedy evil billionaire bastards owners stadiums, the law should require them to build their OWN ******* new stadiums but the tax payers always end up footing the bill., that is WHY Oakland sports teams have left, these asshole Owners Mark Davis of the Raiders,John Fisher of the A's,and the warriors owner all wanted the state of California to fund their stadiums at the expense of the tax payers.

The 49ers got a new stadium close to san francisco because it was PRIVATELY financed. The Rams got a new stadium in Los Angeles because it also was PRIVATELY financed.Everybody that says the A's,Raiders and Warriors left oakland because it is a crime ridden city or it is a dump is smoking crack. For every picture you can show me of Oakland being a bad neighborhood i can find as many in San Francisco and Detroit is the crime capitol of the world,Detroit keeps their teams because they ignorantly give them the new stadiums the owners want like the dumbasses they are. You think if The Lions and Tigers never got a new stadium they would have stayed in Detroit? yeah right. Also there is a poster here named Boedicca who has lived in BOTH san francisco and Oakland and she moved to OAKLAND because she prefers it there right boedicca ?

according to the warped logic of all you people who keep saying Oakland lost their sports teams because it is a dump,it is a crime ridden city blah blah blah blah, okay answer me this question then. WHY did the chargers bolt San Diego for LA then? is san diego a dump and crime ridden city as well?:cuckoo: according to your logic thats what your saying.:cuckoo::laughing0301::auiqs.jpg: well then how do you explain the padres still in SD then with long term plans to stay there?:laughing0301::auiqs.jpg: asshole chargers owner Dean spanos wanted the city to PUBLICLY fund his stadium just like mark davis of the raiders and john fisher of the As's and they wisely said **** YOU and said good bye to that asshole and let the ************ go to LA.

Here is a napkin to wipe the egg off your face you are suffering in embarrassment of your ignorant comments Oaklands sports teams left their cities because Oakland is a dump or whatever.

this link here of mine goes to even greater in depth detail WHY the raiders and As's left. I am very well versed on the raiders and A's situation.

because oakland is a dump.

MLB baseball is going to regret big time letting the A'S go to Vegas. Retard gayboy Mark Davis is already finding out what an idiot he was to leave oakland for vegas,he has complained about the visiting teams crowds always being much larger than the raiders crowds, they now have 16 road games a year instead of 8,every home game is a road game now with 75% of the crowds always for the visiting teams, they have no homefield advantage there anymore.myself and many experts warned davis this would happen but he did not listen.he just saw the green dollars he was going to reap from the relocation move.

Oakland has always been right up there with the red sox and cubs as the most loyal fans in the country that even if they are the worst team in baseball they STILL packed them in,Until the last few years when they realised the A's were going to leave them, they always had the ballpark packed just like this photo here below.

The raiders at least pack the stadium in because football is much bigger than baseball, the A's they wont have this kind of support there they always enjoyed in oakland, they will have lots of empty seats if they dont win. Best thing for baseball is to keep the In Oakland.MLB baseball fucked up giving them approval to leave.

for the oakland haters here is something else you are not aware of. The Giants before they got their new stadium, they had serious plans to move to Orlando Florida if they did not get a new stadium to replace candlestick park and before they got the new stadium they played in,the last five years or so they were in candlestick park,THEY had major attendance issues as well, candlestick park looked like a ghosttown for almost every ballgame.

I agree with you that taxpayers should never fund these parks. I say that on a level of principle; however; I also say it as a practical matter. Owners always say it helps the city, but I observe the return is minimal to nonexistent.

Btw, the 49ers parks is nowhere near the old Candlestick Park. Levi Stadium is in Santa Clara, which is an hour away from the stick. PART of the reason they moved is that the area near Candlestick is dubious, while Santa Clara-Santa Jose is perceived as up & coming with tech and other industries. The city of Santa Clara (read: taxpayers) also funded some of the park.

Steve Ballmer privately financed Intuit Dome (Clippers' arena) the same way and Kroenke funded SoFI for the Rams. Kroenke however, used eminent domain (read: the heavy hand of government) to oust property owners.

Oracle Arena was also a dubious neighborhood, so they moved to the more upscale Mission Bay in San Fran.

Oakland-Alameda Coliseum is also in a bad area.

So, in conclusion, yes, owners are greedy and will foist their will upon the common man. I also question whether Kroenke actually funded SoFI totally on his own. Either way, no owner wants to be in a bad area.

I was watching a show about gangs and there's one gang that models itself after the Crimson Bulldogs

Fresno Bulldogs, or BDS for short, also known by the abbreviations FBD and F-14,[8] are a primarily Mexican American criminal street and prison gang located in 559, California. They are considered to be one of the biggest drug gangs in Central California with membership estimated to be in the cities of Fresno, Selma, Kerman, Sanger, Clovis, Madera, San Joaquin, Coalinga, Huron, Mendota, Orange Cove, and Avenal. They are engaged in a wide range of criminal activity and have been subject to many high-profile cases over the years. Fresno Bulldogs are largely conflicted with other prison gangs and are the biggest Hispanic gang in California unaffiliated with Sureños or Norteños.

Yeah but the Oakland Alemeda Coliseum issue could easily have been solved had they had an owner who was passionate about keeping the A's in Oakland like the Owner of the Giants was. The Oakland location is no worse than where the Lions play in detroit. as I got done stating,Detroit is the crime capital of the world, yet they have been able to keep the Lions and Tigers and Pistons there though " I ALMOST STARTED THINKING OF THE WIZARD OF OZ,LIONS,AND TIGERS AND BEARS OH MY." because THEY got new stadiums. compared to detroit,The oakland Alemeda coliseum is a very nice neighborhood,a paradise.LOL

In 2018, Detroit was ranked the second most violent city! Property Crime: Property crimes such as burglary and theft are also above national averages. The city's property crime rate often exceeded 3,000 per 100,000 residents, compared to the national average of around 2,000 per 100,000.Aug 23, 2024

If John Fisher had any decency of being a human being he would do what A's fans want and SELL THE TEAM to an owner committed to staying there with passion. They had a stadium planned to be built on the waterfront in a nice area by the ocean and would have been a BEAUTIFUL stadium, much nicer than what they will get in Vegas but the asshole owner rejected it cause he wants public funding for it which vegas like the idiots they are is giving to him.

As I said, when it became a real possibility San Francisco was going to lose the Giants and move to orlando florida,,before they got their new stadium,Candlestick ballpark was a ghostown just as The Alemeda coliseum is,same thing,no difference.Once they got their new stadium though, they packed them in like sardines.

The Warriors moving to SF is the ONLY sports team leaving Oakland that makes any sense. The raider brand is not big in Vegas and never will be.Mark Davis is a stupid **** moron,he ignored what all the financial experts said that moving the team there would be a mistake going from the second biggest market in the country to the 56th largest. He has complained about what i said would happen and IS happening,on how there is no fan support for the Raiders with 75% of the fans being the opposing teams crowds,:abgg2q.jpg:always will be. The A's going to vegas would be even more disaterous,Baseball is no longer Americas favorite pastime as it was back in the 80's and 90's,its not big anymore,Football is big so the Raiders at LEAST have sellout crowds even though they are always for the opposing teams. with the A;s,it will be a ghost town there after a couple years or so,best thing to do for both the A's and MLB baseball is get a new stadium and stay in oakland but that of course isnt going to happen.

Yeah you are correct that the 49ers are a long ways away from SF being an hours drive now, they are not in the bay area anymore. San Francisco fans are stupid, they like to brag how they kept their team unlike the raiders when the reality is they ALSO lost their team. They are san francisco in NAME ONLY now, they are no longer the san francisco 49ers,they are the SANTA CLARA 49ers.

Kroenke for sure privately financed and build the stadium on his own dime, that is WHY the chargers are his co tenant instead of the Raiders. kroenke would rather be able to have LA all to himself but to get there he had to abide by the rules of the NFL which like the ignorant fools they are, insisted on having two teams there when LA s never been a two team NFL city. Kroenke had to accept their terms so he mad the fair compromise to them approaching them and stating to them-OKAY SENSE I AM BUILDING AND FUNDING THIS STADIUM IF I HAVE TO HAVE A CO TENANT THEN THE CHARGERS ARE THE TEAM I WILL ALLOW TO SHARE THE STADIUM WITH ME.

He KNEW the raiders being in LA would greatly damage the Rams fanbase in LA.It would split the fanbase apart because there is a huge raider fanbase in LA,not as big as the Rams but enough to make a big dent in it if they moved there and shared the stadium, the chargers though are no threat whatsoever to them though, they have almost ZERO fans in LA and never will have a fanbase there. Dean spanos was asinine to move to the team. he is not rich like kroneke so like all asshole owners, instead of building his own ******* stadium and keep the chargers in san diego,he rode the coattails on stan kroneke and got a sweetheart deal only having to pay a whooping one dollar rent to him every month.wow what special priveledges the elite have huh? sure wish when i was living in an apartment for so many years before owning a house i only had to pay a dollar rent once a month.

Seems to me that Detroit has the small enclave with Ford Field, Comerica, the Pistons' arena, bars, restaurants, and some decent shops around there. They got some nice inertia going. The trick is to park in the right spot and not stray to far.

Oakland Raiders probably had that aura, just like the Cleveland Browns, Cubs, Red Sox, and a few others. You know better than I, but I never got that aura feeling watching and listening to As games. If they were to move anywhere in that city, it seems that they'd need a set up like the Detroit sports enclave. But again, I'm not doubting there are cheap bastard owners. I am saying however, that location counts for a lot.

Here's an interesting map someone made with MLB dimensions. You barely have to be a fan to know that Oakland is in green. It's pitiful, and makes a huge difference in whether or not you might attend a game there.
