How much do you attribute to corruption? What specific instances and amounts?
How is that balanced against the costs we may well incur from the fallout of this “method”?
How much will folks like Trump, Musk, Kennedy, for example, be raking in from lucrative contracts, close associations, and knowledge and leverage made accessible by their positions as they weed through “corruption”?
Given the lack of training in ethics, signed ethics agreements, sufficient security clearances…has any monetary value been assigned yet to possible (no face it, probable) data breaches…or the selling of information to other entities or nations given the ties of some of the people involved? Or the use of confidential data to persecute supposed “enemies of the people”?
Condoning corruption to fight corruption is seldom a good strategy.
