Elaine C. Duke Is Cautiously Preparing Her Political Position - Is She Planning A Campaign?

Elaine C. Duke describes herself a “lifelong Republican” and is former acting secretary of homeland security for the impeached president trump.

During a recent interview Duke explained, “President Trump believes that he can’t trust.” She continued by describing the impeached president trump’s administration as being, “driven by ideology instead of deliberation, values politics over policy and is dominated by a president who embraces ‘hate-filled, angry and divisive’ language.”

Being a lifelong Republican, at 62 years-of-age, Duke is obviously very staunch in her conservative beliefs, and therefore should, plainly recognize the GOP’s historic reliance on divisive, racial and ethnic rhetoric. It began with Nixon’s “Southern Strategy” and has cultivated and nurtured the right-wingers’ racism and bigotry (and more often paranoia) for the past five decades.

This fact concerning GOP history did not escape the notice of presidential candidate trump, and in 2015 and 16 he employed this Republican political campaign tool more effectively than any Republican politician in history. He does so to this day.

Duke now wants to distance herself from the extreme hate-speech used nearly every day by the impeached president trump. But, not so much as to offend the impeached president trump’s devoted fanatics, or the GOP’s major political contributors.

At 62, and having spent nearly three decades working in the government, Duke remains careful about burning her “political bridges”. After all, the Republican Party is poised to retake the House majority, and retain control of the Senate and the presidency this November.

Duke could very well feel her time has finally arrived.

David Duke's sister is going into politics. Considering how far Trump has lowered the bar, her entry is not surprising.

the GOP is the party of douchey and/or racist old white guys. Dems are the party of the future
