Economists call Trump a liar.

Trump is a habitual liar and he's completely ignorant about macroeconomics.

The two facts are just coming together on this topic. We're seeing the result.

Post 7 million from Mac where he basically says this:

"Trump's __________ hurt my feelings."

Also, this is probably my finest post on USMB, not to brag but lol

I'm glad you expect claims like that to be proven. I hope you do the same with those who actually have the ability to address the claims they make.
.

Who made the claim?

That person must prove what they claim.

Do it.

.

So it didn't happen? The bailout never happened?
.

If you expect to be believed, give people believable sources.

I'm done. Go bother someone who has more time to waste than I have.

Yes you are done. You don't need any source as you do understand it happened.

Trump enacted tariffs on China. China took their business elsewhere, US farmers lost business and the taxpayers were on the hook for billions in bail outs.

Trump announces emergency aid for farmers hurt by trade war, says they'll win in the end

They didn't win in the end. They have never made up the lost business.

Now he's on Bloomburg's "Wall Street Week" constantly griping about Trump.

My wife says that the Bush clan is still pissed that Trump abused Jeb Bush in the debates.

How do actual adults function when their world view is that partisan and petty.

Seems Trump used the words and studies to justify his tariffs and they are saying they did no such thing.
While I strongly recommend that President Trump tread carefully in order to avoid the pitfalls caused by the Smoot-Hawley Tariff of 1929-30

his tariffs are imposed by an EO not an Act so he should be able to adjust or cancel them if push comes to shove.

Not uncommon for Trump. He isn't too concerned over truth or accuracy, all he expects is for you to worship him.

The emails started hitting Anson Soderbery’s inbox at about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. An economist at Purdue University, friends and acquaintances were reaching out to let him know that the Trump administration had just cited one of his papers as grounds for the steep tariff rates it would impose on America’s trade partners, which the president had unveiled on giant poster boards during a Rose Garden speech hours earlier.

A few of the notes jokingly congratulated him. But how did he really feel? “Confused,” Soderbery told Yahoo Finance. After all, he said, his study had been written to discourage exactly the kinds of policies Trump was rolling out. Certainly, nobody from the administration had consulted with him.

I've seen Trumpsters call last week's market meltdown a regular correction.

Trump's habitual, childlike, obvious, flagrant lying has fully metastasized throughout the GQP. He validates it.

You all know that Peter Navarro's favorite and most cited expert in his books does not exist?

His name is Ron Vara, an anagram of Navarro. He does not exist.

Trump is tariffing based on Navarro cited experts who don't exist.

Whether Trump losers like it or not, Ron Vara is an imaginary character. Peter Navarrois a far right wing nut case who has no credibility outside Trump world.

Od course, he did write the “Green Bay sweep”, one of the components of the Jan 6th insurrection plot.
