Only one entity has ever had the opportunity to examine the DNC's servers (actually mirrors) The DOJ/FBI has never been granted any access to the physical servers or the mirrors, all the government possesses are the (three?) redacted "draft" reports issued by Crowdstrike. See government's reply to Roger Stone's discovery request for the unredacted reports:
But I mean, seriously. Your criticism is that they never saw the data leaving the server? We know it left the server. How else would have it landed on Wikileaks?
The most common alternate theory is the data was transferred to removable media by someone with access to the server.
