In the world of sports for NBA NFL at least, our big media machines have a huge thirst for retired players to be, spectacles, using their professional experiences/status from yesteryears as some sort of license to belittle today's Black players mostly.
That is what Charles Barkley does. Charles is also lightskinned.
My Black friends call it, COONing, because of the amount of money Charles gets paid to hate on (darkskinned) Black players on a national stage. I even saw an episode of their TNT broadcast, last season, where producers allowed Charles to mock Shaq for having dark skin.
Lately, Charles has turned his evilness onto the Warriors darkskinned player Draymond Green. Charles is jealous of Draymond, all because Draymond won three (3) NBA championships and Charles won zero (0) all because Charles did not know how to be a winner and he was not a team player. Charles is unfairly criticizing Draymond because he won't try to score more often. The Warriors did not pay Draymond those $80-million, to score, and that is why they won 3 championships. Charles acts like he doesn't realize that, in order to antagonize yet another darkskinned Black player. tsk tsk
Draymond is a very intelligent smart player, but he won't use that as a NOONing skill to eat Barkley for lunch. For example, Draymond was an academic wiz at an intelligent university; Michigan State. While Charles was unmotivated toward academics at Auburn Univ.
As a pro, Charles would spend his summers eating and gaining weight...while Draymond? He's one of the only active players ever in NBA, history, who experiences the NBA draft by sitting in the war-room with an org's Coaches GMs Scouts plus owners sometimes, helping to make intelligent decisions and evaluations about players.
If you have Instagram or Twitter, send Draymond a msg, reminding him to use his intelligence against the lightskinned racism which Charles Barkley sends at him.
