CDZ Don't worry centrists, Bernie isn't a radical

The Overton window has moved so far left that Trump is now considered a freaking "conservative" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean anymore)...Little wonder that leftbats can now try to pass Batshit Bernie off as a "centrist".

Don’t Worry, Centrists. Bernie Isn’t Radical

Not my thread title that's the title of the article. I posted it here because I want a legitimate debate on this. The way the author lays it out is fascinating to me. Makes Sanders seem MUCH closer to a centrist than a democratic socialist radical. PLEASE read the article it isn't long.

Sanders is a bit of a hypocrite.

Ron Paul says Bernie Sanders 'sold out' on Fed amendment

But your article is silly and unconvincing.

The Democrats are trying to derail Bernie now, but rest assured, if he gets the nomination and he becomes their only hope of toppling Trump you will see plenty more articles and commentary like that in the OP's link.

OK I read it, that guy is full of crap. Bernie would be the most radical Presidential candidate in history bar none.

Well.....The article claims that Bernie's health care would cost 34 Trillion over 10 years. Then it goes on to claim that health care costs are 36 Trillion over 10 years. From this, they claim there would be a 'net savings' of 2 Trillion. This is very simplistic because the health care system in the U.S. is already subsidized and regulated by the Federal Government which, it could be argued, adds soaring costs due to bureaucratic rules, etc. The Devil's really in the details here and we are expected to blithely accept that building on an already socialist structure will result in some kind of 'centrist' policy? No thanks.

Bernie Sanders is a Marxist to the core of his being.

The author is simply stupid and self centered, that's all.

He says he would make the national minimum wage 50 dollars an hour, and so Sanders is more moderate IN COMPARISON only. That doesn't make Sanders moderate, however, as it is always possible to place the bar at such a ridiculous place that another appears more moderate.

Bernie, nice well meaning OLD man,(to old for this tough of a job) to progressive for my taste. Why is it necessary to trash people, The political choices keep getting farther away from what do you know that could benefit our country & closer to who you know & how much money will you put out to get the job.

Sanders was always a communist. He worked for Socialist Workers Party. and recently said "Warren is a capitalist to her bones while I am not." He may move to the middle like HItler Stalin and Mao did to gain popular support but his ideology is very very very clear.
