There are something like 2 million couples in the USA on waiting lists wanting to adopt infants. They do not stand in line, but are registered. Now if you are talking about those wanting to adopt older children, then, yes, there are quite a few children and teens living in orphanages. ------ Also, there are a number of large Christian organizations that care for the needs of mothers after they give birth., financially and otherwise. Do you want a list of those charities, or do you prefer your narrative?
