You also make it more likely that Obama will win his re-election bid in 2012. There is a backlash that happens when you go wwwaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too far off into loony land, the GOP is on the verge.

They will almost certainly pick up seats in 2010. They probably gain control of either/both the House and Senate. But come 2012 they'll need to have more than just the empty rhetoric they used up to win in 2010 or they'll be toast in the Presidential race.

I don't know him personally, so I can't say if I like him or not. My liking someone personally does not depend on their political views.

But I DO know that I don't like his policies and rhetoric.

I don't like his use of the english language as a tool to say one thing but lead people to believe another...and then when he is approcahed with the contradiction, he reminds people of what he said..and clarifies it...making himself right everytime.

It is the role of a public speaker to ensure the listener understands exactly what he means when he speaks. Obama uses words to do the opposite.
One of Gibbs' most used lines is "that is not what he said...I have the transcript...look at the transcript"

Likewise, I do not appreciate his constant berating of American businesses and his implication that the wealthy are wealthy due to greed and dihonest business practices.

Finally, his policies, like them or not, are class divisive. He claimed tpo be a uniter yet he is proving to be a divider.

1. I'd argue that if the political use of language is your problem, you'll have a problem with all politicians. There is an 'art' to listening to a politician and discerning the real truth that's being spoken.

2. The role of a public speaker is to ensure that the listener 'hears' what the speaker wants the listener to hear. Understanding is not required in all cases. In some cases, understanding is the last thing a speaker wants.

3. There are three reasons people get rich. Inheritance, greed, and dishonesty. A non-greedy honest person will never get rich unless he/she hits the lottery or inherits.

4. When we have two parties who claim they represents different ends of the political spectrum, then all of the policies will be divisive as they try to cater to the people who they feel beholding to. It's practically impossible to cater to the poor/middle class while at the same time catering to the rich/upper class. If you know of a way to pull that off, I'm sure democrats and republicans will be 'all ears'.

Do not get me wrong. I know how to read between the lines. Most dont.
As fort "understanding is the last a speakwer wants"...you may be OK with that, but if it is someone that I employ, I am not ok with that.

Greed is the driving factor for all that are trich and many that are poor as well.

Obama has never shown his long form birth-certificate. I don't believe he is a natural born citizen as required by our constitution in order for him to be president. Furthermore, he's claimed to be a "citizen of the world" which in my opinion is the last thing we need leading our country. What we need leading America is an American.

I don't do the rest of the stuff you mentioned but I'm not going to keep quiet just because people like you call me an "idiot" or "birther" etc. I know right from wrong. I watched the youtube video with friends who were born and raised in Kenya when Obama's grandmother said she was there at his birth. My friends admitted that's exactly what she said even though the msm tried to make it all out like it was a miscommunication or translated wrong.

Now the English papers are claiming his birthcertificate was burned in a fire and that's why he refuses to show it...he couldn't have said that in the first place? Sorry too many questions here. Obama ran an ad in Arizona IN SPANISH saying that McCain was against amsnesty...and apologized to cCain for the ad...but refused to pull it anyway.

Sorry buddy, but your argument here basically boils down to "stop calling Obama names because i said so." If someone calls Obama a marxist, it's not technically a lie because it can't be totally disproven. You can't argue that some of the policies that Obama is in favor of don't have marxist principles to them, hence the "insult." I would agree that calling him a marxist or socialist is a litle disengenuous but the point stands.

The first time I heard this guy speak my bs meter went right through the roof. I wasn't taken in for one minute by that silver tongue. When I heard his remarks to Joe the plumber on spreading the wealth, well, that told me all I needed to know. There is no way in hell I would have ever voted for him.

He said he fundamentally wanted to change the face of America. Well. That bs doesnt' work for me either.

Many who voted for him thought he was talking about cleaning up the corruption in DC. Well, we all know that ain't happened. Nor is likely to. Its the same ol same old. He fooled an awfull lot of people. People who were sick of the Reps and Bush. He drew a lot of Iindependents, Dems and Reps. I wonder how they would all vote now that they have seen his agenda in action???

There are plenty things that people could find Obama not doing a good job in.So why do so many on this forum and other places have to lie, exaggerate, and make shit up about Obama? Why call him socialist, marxist, the "messiah", "owebama", claim he isn't a US citizen, claims he want to destroy america? or claim things done by other people is really Obama's doing, and anything that goes on in the gov't or military is under Obama's direction?

the whole point of modern conservatism (as practiced by fox news, ruch limbaugh, ann coulter...etc)
is to promote and defend extreme anger and hatred at their "enemies". And, apparently, to test the boundaries of free speech where-in absolute lies are presented as Fair and Balanced News
