Spontaneous protest does not lead to revolution, but it is better than thousands of Marxist-inspired agitational tweets to show the class antagonism of capitalist society, to demonstrate to the broad masses of workers the difference between the interests of the exploiters and the exploited.
But one important clarification: not any spontaneous protest, but protests against the infringement of workers' economic rights and freedoms. When, for example, protests by those who disagree with the results of bourgeois elections can and often are protests inspired by one capital against another.
