Don't be foolish, O Christians

So what your saying is the Book of Mormon is true and there is no way it cannot be since it was revealed by God and is totally revolutionizing the word, not through violence and the use of force, but through the whisperings of the Holy Spirit.

and unlike any other book revealed by God, the Book of Mormon has a promise that those who humbly read it and will ask God if it is true will learn that it is. And what greater witness can one receive than the Spirit of God?

The Bible is all you need. Will you, as a Mormon read the Bible and ask God to reveal to you that it contains all of God's message to man and that parts are not lost or altered and that the Book of Mormon is false?

The Mormons have a good angle. You know the shady years of the catholic church? The dark ages? The christian church lost touch with god. They became corrupt. They lost their connection to god. They say yes Jesus existed but you are following is not what Jesus said.

So god came back and started over in 1800 with Joseph smith.

I agree with Joseph smith only I think mormonism is bullshit too. In fact god told me. No magic underwear.

I already did ask God whether the Bible was true. And I asked whether the Book of Mormon is true.

The Lord was affirmative on both.

You do realize that the Bible doesn't claim exclusivity right? In fact it clearly says not everything is in the Bible.

The Book of Mormon is the greatest asset a Christian can have against those who deny that Jesus is who He claims to be. It's a great witness that the resurrection really occured.

We now have the witnesses of two tribes of the House of Israel that Jesus is the Savior of the World. The testimony of the house of Judah and the house of joseph in the hands of Ephraim will be a standard to gather the dispersed and reunite the House of Israel. They establish the doctrine of Christ and put down arguments against it.

Look at this thread alone. The Book of Mormon proves Jesus Christ is the Son of God. It proves that God is not silent. It shows that He calls prophets now.

the Book of Mormon is scripture as well. 2 Tim applies fine to both volumes.

every word spoken by the Holy Spirit can be considered scripture by that verse.

Why do you only add the phrase, "as far as it is translated correctly" to describe the Bible and not after the book of Mormon when in fact there are far more translating errors in the Book of Mormon than the Bible?

And why should we believe the Bible where it's been incorrectly translated?

It does if you know where to look.

But the old testament didn't mention the new one. Moses didn't mention Jeremiah and neither mentioned Paul. Why should we expect one witness to mention future witnesses?

Anonymous, the hadiths Bukhari are well regarded by Muslims

The quran says the sun orbits the earth, therefore it is not from God.

when the quran says, at sura 21.33 and 36.40 and 36.38 that the sun has an orbit, Imams falsely claim this is a great revelation, because Muhammad knew the sun had an orbit in the galaxy. But the quran is actually saying the sun orbits the flat earth and is reset every dawn , and I can prove it with the following hadith.

Hadith Bukhari Volume 4, Book 54, Number 421:
Narrated Abu Dhar:

The Prophet asked me at sunset, "Do you know where the sun goes (at the time of sunset)?" I replied, "Allah and His Apostle know better." He said, "It goes (i.e. travels) till it prostrates Itself underneath the Throne and takes the permission to rise again, and it is permitted and then (a time will come when) it will be about to prostrate itself but its prostration will not be accepted, and it will ask permission to go on its course but it will not be permitted, but it will be ordered to return whence it has come and so it will rise in the west. And that is the interpretation of the Statement of Allah: "And the sun Runs its fixed course For a term (decreed). that is The Decree of (Allah) The Exalted in Might, The All-Knowing." (36.38)

As can be seen it says that if the sun changed direction it would rise in the west. But if the sun changed direction in its orbit in the galaxy it would make no difference to the sun rising in the east, because it is the rotation of the earth that causes the appearance of the sun in the east. The hadith is clearly saying the sun orbits the earth, and it is a fuller explanation of verse 36.38 in the quran.

You are lying. The Qur'an says the earth is round. It does not say it bluntly but it indicates it: "He merges the night into the day and He merges the day into the night." I have already talked to you about this. The Qur'an also says: "We are able to put in perfect order the very tips of his fingers."

When God says "We", you don't say this is false because a true God would have said "I". But when He talks about suns and stars you want to restrict it to absolutely scientific meanings and theorems. This is not a book of mathematics. It is a book from God, revealed to His beloved (peace be upon him and his family). God has His way of saying things. It does not make it false because of what humans needed thousands of years to finally bring forth what we know as "science".

I would like "this guy" to explain how revealing a book that your Prophet somehow acquired from God CANNOT be a lie. Furthermore the fact that your Prophet was a bad ass general and conquered a lot of neighboring countries HAS NOTHING to do with the validity of said book. I could care less whose God is "real" that is not relevant to this thread at all.

No one else claims to have received a book from God. If anyone else did, and that book survived 1400 years enabling new generations of saints to emerge at every century, then that book would have been true. Don't make me say things I did not say, and there is no need for you to insult me. That is, if you really have a message you would like to convey to me.

Because the Book of Mormon was translated by the power of God.

And why should we believe the Bible where it's been incorrectly translated?

Stop talking about a "book of mormon" when there is not any. In advance, thank you.

Av; If the Book of Mormon is true, then why has the church changed it?

to fix punctuation for the most part or to clarify passages as to their original intent.

For example, the usage of "and it came to pass" repeatedly doesn't make for a clear read in English.
