Donald Trump's Economy

Americans are going to forego buying cheap Chinese toys while China faces famine unless they equalize the trade imbalance. Which one are American lefties rooting for?
God you guys are stupid. China has stuff we need. Not just cheap dolls. And when we stop buying from them, they stop buying from us. You Republicans don't know what you are doing. You don't think ahead about the unintended consequences. We don't hold all the cards.

"Just because it looks like we're going in the wrong direction, does not mean that's the direction we're going?"

Energy Secretary Chris Wright said that. Why would he say that if we were doing great Hafar1014 ?

China is an enemy and like all communists parasitic. We need to divest from them as much as possible. We now control 40% of their oil supply. China is not alone they are part of the axis of Russia Cuba and Iran and are threat to the free world. We need to contain them like we did the USSR until they collapse as all communists end up

Sounds like your way leads to WW3. Our way doesn't. Sorry but I don't think we need to divest from China.

When Biden was president you guys said Russia wasn't an enemy. They were a strategic partner. Now they are an enemy? This is why Republicans should never be in charge. People forget they always lead us to war.

Appeasement leads to war, Neville Chamberlain had a peace plan with Hitler, Carter supported the Iran regime, Obama and Biden both appeased Iran and gave them money and time to build nuclear bomb. War is what ended Nazism and is stopping Irans form exploding nukes in Israel and Wash DC. Appeasement of evil leads to war and the longer we with the worse it gets. Maybe you could take course in history and critical thinking

LOL. That post made me really chuckle. Thank you.

Trump To Brag About His Tax Cuts, Which Are Way Smaller Than His Tariffs

Trump increased import taxes by $200 billion in 2025 — most of them illegally — some $70 billion more than his tax cuts.

A key reason why: Trump’s tariffs, the majority of which were ruled illegal earlier this year, on average cost American households $1,000 more in higher prices, amounting to the largest tax increase in decades. That pain has now been further exacerbated by spiking gasoline prices thanks to Trump’s war against Iran.

In contrast, the tax changes in his “One Big Beautiful Bill” save the vast majority of households several hundred dollars, while a few favored groups are receiving a break worth thousands of dollars.

What’s more, even though Trump’s White House and congressional Republicans have attempted to rebrand the package as the “Working Families Tax Cut,” more than 73% of those benefits are flowing to households earning between $100,000 and $500,000 a year,

“The bulk of the tax benefit goes to people pretty high up in the income distribution,”

The remaining 140 million or so households that did not qualify for those categories are largely limited to getting the $150 to $525 from a higher standard deduction and $200 more per minor child.

But Trump's war is costing you $1000. And his tariffs are costing the average American between $1000-$2500 more a year.

Hafar1014 you say you are rich so maybe Trumpanomics benefits you but not the rest of us.

Trumps tax cuts put 10 billion back in the hands of the middle class. Tariffs have cost nothing. You need to post your sources

How much did Obama pay Iran?

In January 2016, the U.S. paid Iran $1.7 billion to settle a decades-old legal dispute.

As of mid-April 2026, the U.S.-led conflict with Iran is estimated to be costing taxpayers roughly $1 billion to $2 billion per day in direct military expenses.

And still you can't stop them from getting nukes. They told JD to piss off remember? No deal.

So what have we won? Trump said we won. What did we win?

The Obama administration did not directly "give" Iran money to not build nuclear weapons as a bribe, but rather returned $400 million in principal and $1.3 billion in interest ($1.7 billion total) to settle a decades-old dispute over a failed arms deal from 1979. This payment was made in January 2016 in cash

You stupid bitches. Trump has spent at least 30 to 60 billion already if we've been there a month. Insanity! You boomers are insane. You got to go!!

Pictures mean nothing history is everything critical thinking would help you
You Republicans are just as delusional as you were back in the Bush years. You'll NEVER admit you are bad for the economy. At least the middle class. Nothing you are doing is good for us. Maybe for Trump but not for us. You are just a brainwashed old man who's got more than enough money to live for another 20 years. Congrats but it was your generation that ruined America. YOU gramps. And your ignorance is starting to make me sick.

I remember asking my partner in Mexico what he thought about Trump when Trump first got back into office. He said Trump was crazy and we don't need another crazy leader in the world. I asked him again today what do Mexicans think now? He said this:

I think he is a creasy man, but I think the world is having big crisis, and going worse every day… I hope some body have better view on the future and do better things for all in this rocket that we call earth… I hope we don’t destroy ourselves… are to much aggressivity, to much arrogance, too much thirst for money and power… and this is risky….

I told him what us liberals think about him and he responded

You say it….

You have the same picture that we have outside from him….

The middle class suffered under Obama and Biden and thrived under Trump. The poor had the best job market in history. Illegals took their jobs away and lowered wages. Who cares what Mexicans think

Nonsense. No one is thriving right now except Trump and the rich. Elon and Lutnik and Jared. You're insane.

Remember you guys cried about the $1.7 billion Obama gave to Iran? How much is Trump costing us a day in Iran? $2 billion? A Day? And you cried about $1.7? You f'ing *****. And now my brother says we've caused $250 billion in damage in Iran and most likely we are going to have to pay them to rebuild. What kind of idiot are you hafar?

What would a nuclear bomb exploding in Wash cost. We are still far better off than when Bidens inflation was killing the middle class and you just made excuses for that.

So based on your argument we should go to war with Russia and make them give up their nukes. What would a nuke exploding in washington cost would be your argument. You can't lose. So whatever you do, you can tell me about the mushroom cloud. Thanks Colon Powell the TERD.

We can't be. We are paying more for healthcare, energy prices and EVERYTHING. That's impossible we are all better off today than we were before Trump took over. Insane.

And remember what you guys said when we showed you that the economy was doing GREAT under Biden in 2024. Remember what you said? It didn't FEEL like we were. Because of high prices. Well with tariffs and gas and healthcare costs, it doesn't FEEL like we are better off today.

Majority of Americans Feel Worse Off Than Four Years Ago

More than half of Americans (52%) say they and their family are worse off today than they were four years ago, while 39% say they are better off and 9% volunteer that they are about the same.

And whatever Trump gave you in a tax break, he's eating it up at the pump. He said you'd get $1000 more, we got $300 more on average. Easily eaten up at the pump. The raises they got, eaten up at the pump and with tariffs.

These findings suggest inflation likely underlies Americans’ perceptions that the economy is poor, even against a backdrop of generally low unemployment, steady economic growth, and record stock and housing values.

Forty-six percent of Americans describe current economic conditions as “poor” and 29% as “only fair,” while 25% say current conditions are “excellent” or “good.” Additionally, 62% say the economy is “getting worse” compared with 32% saying it is “getting better.”

Currently, 44% of U.S. adults say it is a good time to find a quality job, while 50% say it is a bad time.

Historical trends suggest that perceptions of personal wellbeing and economic confidence can significantly impact election outcomes. With a majority of Americans feeling they are not better off than four years ago, economic confidence remaining low, and less than half of Americans saying now is a good time to find a quality job, the economy will be an important consideration at the ballot box this year.

You live in the moment by fake polls.

You live in the moment by fake polls.

Remember, things were actually pretty good at the end of Biden's presidency. Inflation was under control. Jobs were good. People were getting raises. Jobs were coming back. No war. Yes inflation persisted but don't you remember even Republicans back then admitted that companies were gouging us after supply chain problems went away. You bashed Kamala for suggesting she'd do something about it. As soon as Trump got in, he admitted they were gouging us and you probably cheered. You are too brainwashed to have good judgement of what's actually happening. It's like you have all the facts as they are told on Fox News or Newsmax. Spin.

Prices rose by over 17% cumulatively during the first few years of the Biden administration, creating a cost-of-living crisis. Not his fault.

Consumer Costs: By mid-2024, estimates suggested the average family of four was paying over $1,400 more per month to purchase the same goods and services compared to January 2021.

Now remember, this wasn't Biden's fault.

But this is Trump's fault

By mid-2026, estimates suggested the average family of four is paying over $1,000 more per month to purchase the same goods and services compared to January 2024, driven by rising costs for necessities, increased tariff-related expenditures, and cumulative inflation.

By mid-2026, estimates suggested the average family of four is paying over $1,000 more per year—amounting to roughly $80–$100 more per month—to purchase the same food goods compared to early 2025/December 2024, driven by a projected 4% to 6% food inflation rate.

Additionally, separate analyses indicated that by early 2026, the average household is paying an additional $570 to $600 per year in extra expenses due to tariffs, averaging roughly $50 more per month.

Healthcare costs are projected to increase significantly in 2026, with ACA Marketplace premiums rising over 20% on average due to the expiration of enhanced tax credits and increased insurer risk. Employer-sponsored insurance costs are expected to rise by 6%–10% due to high drug prices (including GLP-1 agonists), rising utilization, and medical inflation.

They didn't even mention high gas prices. Holy F.
