He considered running as a Reform Party candidate.

He donated to both Democrat and Republican campaigns.

Donating to both is a plan most high level businesses have. And no: not just because they're flakey. It's because they want a return; usually so that both parties get out of their way and let them do business without interference.

What is the main reason businesses do it?? It works.
